JHJ is perfect as Wong Rin 👍 his act is difficult cos it's should show in his expression n gesture ..which women not fall for Wong Rin his sharp intense eyes, deep voice yet soft, manly yet kind and caring 😍💗

#loveRinSan ... Agree! Agree! RinSan moments are soooo intimate even with only a few words, their eyes speak volumes! I love the deep glow in their eyes when they look at each other. San (Yoona) was able to show how insecure she was feeling in front of Rin when she asked him why he treated and spoke to her respectfully when she was only a servant. When he said it was because she is the woman his master loves - her eyes swelled with tears, disappointed; she steeled herself and walked away. Rin at that point too showed regrets in his body language. In a later episode, he admitted he shouldn't have let her go to Won. I love the little ways San teased the upright Rin. He doesn't flirt or act cute/playful with San as Won but he knows when she teased him in her own naughty ways - racing him to the dance, stating Rin can't tell quality booze and driving the fishes away! He always has that cute, little smile when he knows her actions were meant to tease him. Love, love the cave scene when they ran away heading to the sea. She stealing looks at him (knowing then that her father had chosen Rin for herself - she would trust her father's wise decision) and when he caught her looking at him, she became all shy!!! 😍😍😍
I feel like I can talk for hours about RinSan, they got under my skin. The cave scene- that was the sweetest thing, San getting all shy and covering herself with the blanket. when Rin told her that her father wanted them to be together, she took it so calmly, like she hasn't even think otherwise. The way they look at each other- what can I say? It's pure love! I like how Yoona delivers her character, it's so believable, I still can't believe she really fell for Rin and not for Won, because you know that in every single drama the girl HAS to love the lead guy, I'm glad that this drama shook off the stereotypes and took this completely new path. And I just have to say something about Rin's hands- the most beautiful hands a man could have! At the scene where he wiped her tears after her father's death, he didn't simply wipe her tears, but he caressed her face, her cheeks..and I kept looking at his hand...and that was so gentle and that one gesture was filled with so much feelings and meaning. when they escaped and were walking on the field, he told her to talk about her father and she started telling him story of her childhood, she doesn't have this kind of closeness with Won...and she told her father's servant that when everything else fails to go to Rin , like he is the only person she could trust! She said "Go to Rin"and not to Won. And while Won suspects Rin that he betrayed him, San didn't. Not even for one second, even when she saw that the snake tattoo guy kneeled in front of Rin, San never questioned his loyalty nor doubted him.

i love the symbolism of everything in this drama! butterfly is wang rin's emblem and won himself said that san is like a bird, and he even gave her a bird- hairpin. and how many times he spoke to rin that he would put san in a cage in order to keep her close to him. while rin is the opposit- he told won 'what if she is unhappy?' their characters are so different.. won wanted to have both of them at all cost, but eventually he was left alone...what a sad fate...

I have always thought him selfish, self-centred and full of himself when it comes to loving San when he sees and was told that San/Rin feelings for each other was more than what meet the eyes. It hit home when he hurt Rin and after reading Rin’s letter that he grew up and matured. Sealing all his other good traits he learned to let go the two people he cared and loved most out of his abundance love for them; and in appreciation for all Rin’s love, respect and sacrifices for Won in their years of friendship. He set them free! The bird and the little butterfly he held in his hands.
golekgolek you said it so perfectly!!! won loved them too much. it would have been better if he atleast showed some love towards dan too and if he left for Yuan with her, even though what he did at their wedding was horrible. if they showed us that he has someone by his side, it would be bearable, but we saw him left completely alone under the big tree..thinking about it, i still feel the same sadness now as when i watched the episode. just remembering the look in won's eyes as san and rin turned their backs and went away is painful... what other historical dramas do you like? chuno and gu family book are my other two favorites, those are dramas that got me very emotional.. chuno is a pure masterpiece- from the story, to the ost and the fight scenes are amazing.

And I love, love, love all the OSTs and how they accompanied the different scenes were so appropriate, touching and haunting. I can never get tired listening to the OSTs. I do agree the ending was rather abrupt with many loop holes leaving the viewers to their own assumptions and imagination. Which was really too bad! It would have been better if there was some kind of closure showing that Rin and San left after they got married with Won’s blessing. Their secret wedding in the presence of Eun San’s two loyal servants, Teacher Lee and in the attendance of Rin’s father who blessed them. San and Rin fulfilling Master Eun’s wish to have his beautiful and clever daughter married to the upright and loyal young Master Rin. San fulfilling her mother’s wish for her to live a happy life and fall in love. And on that note, there should have been more of Wang Dan and Won. I feel she is left in a void! Have her by Won’s side bidding farewell to the two newly weds whom they love. Not just Won alone under the tree. How I cried buckets watching that scene! So sad ... 😱 I was introduced by a lovely viewer to Wattpad where I found quite a few RinSan fanfic stories that I truly enjoyed. If only we have a spin-off or sequel to TKL ... wishful thinking. 😴😴😴
When I first watched the trailer I also thought that it would be just another silly idol drama, but it turned out to be a masterpiece. Im Si Wan's acting made me cry several times,especially at the end, the love story is great, the friendship is great, the ost and everything. You should watch it, the first 2 episodes are light-hearted, but overall it's a very serious and emotional drama. I had no expectations and was blown away by how good the story was.

I kinda wanna watch this drama but it's pretty long and gives me idol drama vibes..
