Great video. Thanks for bringing this up. I just spent about $900 for the complete run. Also about $500 for variants. I'm going to keep mine raw. I'm a collector. I would keep the #1 A and #1 6th print. Awesome cover plus you have a story to go with it. Good luck.

SIKTC has exploded beyond most people expectations but I feel there’s a lot more room for growth. The print runs of 1-15 are very low and the demand is through the roof. Instead of quick flops, you may want to sit on these for a while and see how far it’ll take you.

I know you have mentioned recouping your costs immediately, but the way all these books are trending I would recommend holding onto ALL OF THEM, at the very least until some castings or some dates are thrown out for the show, these books have a TON of room to grow. You might want to consider selling something else in your collection to recover those costs immediately.
Absolutely and great point, I think I jumped the gun and worded it wrong in the video. I am definitely holding off unit more news etc comes out about the book. CGC will be a big help with that when I don't get my books back for 6 months, lol. I have other books to sell off first (if needed). Great pickups! The 2nd print (those priced out will go to the foil or this print) and 6th (low print run) are keepers. The foil cover is still underrated. I would try to keep as many as possible in the end. Good luck with the submissions! Have a great weekend!

I’m a big believer in the Frison variant-you cover both bases with it-(1)first issue of the series and (2)done by a very popular artist-plus it looks awesome

Man I wish I would have jumped on the run when it 1st came out it’s 🔥 🔥 right now. About a month ago my LCS had 1st print cover A in a 9.8 for $800 I’m Kicking myself in the rear lol but nice collection 👍🏼

Good luck on the submissions! I think you keep the 2 first prints (cvr A & cvr B). Besides those 2, I think the LCSD Foil cover has the most room to grow in value. I think people will start to gravitate toward that book because it’s “cheap” and it looks like cover A. Just my opinion.
Either way…you should hold all copies for as long as you can

I dig the SIKTC #1 4th print. Something about that mustard yellow background with Erica easily handling that monster like a badass. If I ever get my hands on a number 1 SIKTC, 4th print hands down is the first one I am getting.

Man, I SO missed the boat on SIKTC. It came out right when I was taking a break from comics for about 6 months. I usually buy the up and coming indie books, and I know I would have bought SIKTC #1 when it came out. Still kicking myself.

My favorite other than the 1st Cover A would be the Jenny Variant! I have a habit of buying only my favorite cover and sometimes skip on Cover A or a different Variant that ends up being worth more, but at the same time I don't want to have to be try to complete and chase down every cover like I use to. The struggle haha

Personally, as a newbie to the hobby I don’t feel comfortable buying popular raw copies because I’ve missed flaws and defects and ended up losing money, so for now I think I’ll just buy slabbed books that are either expensive or popular and maybe gamble on the cheap books.

Also is the becket grading as good as the cgc seem by investors?
I have only used CGC for my books so I don't know what the other grading companies prices would be if I sold the same grade of book to see if there price would be close to the same.
Wow. Still amazed at the prices. To think I bought all 1st prints of all issues at cover prices. Was there from the start. Only “regret” was 1st issue. I bought the Frison cover instead of regular cover A. Should’ve picked up both. Only other print for issue 1 I have is 4th, 7th, & 8th. Those are my fave prints.

I just purchased a #1 first print yesterday for 415, it's over 9 but I don't cgc my books so..what do you think? Go collect 30 day avg was 425 so I felt like it was reasonable. Also looking at a 1-40 1st print A covers except #1 is the siktc cover you showed. That is $750 for all 40 books
like everybody here says: you should keep them all, but if you really have to keep just two, I would keep #1 cover A and #1 6th print, that one is super rare specially in a 9.8.

CGC or CBCS??? I've been a long CGC user, but i believe I'm going to switch. The price hikes and the continuous extended turnarounds are really turning me off. CGC received 18 books of mine on 3/16 and they still haven't been processed for grading.
My only issue is I need everything to be uniform on the wall so I don't know if I can make the switch and have a mix of companies on the wall, lol. I definitely get why you would want to switch. I would save on a lot of shipping costs because CBCS has a office in Canada for me.

Still a great buy if you can get them for around cover price but I thin a lot are coming back now form CGC so the price will take a dip with all the supply out there. Cover A 1st print will always beat out most prints.

I wanted to know what all the hype was behind this series so I read them digitally...and then I cried when I saw how much attempting to collect the run would cost. I'll have to hope I find these someplace when the heat on them cools. I would sell all the different prints of the issue and keep the first print for myself!!! Great books.

I would get as many as I could at a really cheap price, slab them and sell 50% right up to before the Netflix series starts.
On the day Netflix announces they are cancelling the show, I would sell the rest at 50% lower than "market".
If Netflix does not cancel the show, I'd sell the rest over the next season/s.
And keep one 9.8 of each issue for the PC.

That “something is killing my wallet” run is amazing 😂 I wish I could had gotten on it early now I think it’s out of reach for me 🥲 I only have 11 on, I think #2 is the best return for the value, it’s a bit more steady the rest go up and down every day it seems, hopefully they all return to you in a 9.8 so you can get your return and possibly keep the ones you like 🤞🏼🤞🏼 looking forward to that Cgc unboxing video!!!!

I'm definitely a firm believer in the item is only worth what you can sell it for. I mark down the potential profit and when/if I sell a book I see if I can sell it close to that price or if the stock of the book has gone up (even better) or I have to take hit on the profit. I had 1-10 when they first came out and worked for a comic warehouse and got 30 percent off and sold them thinking it wasn't gonna blow oh how I so regret it...I still have #1 NM
I did the same thing, Sin-X. I thought the series hit their peak and sold off 1-7 and the regret kicked in and here I had to spend a good buck to get back into the series. At least you still have a #1! Thanks for watching and commenting!

It's seems extremely risky to pay that much for all those reprints especially for such a modern copy. I truly hppe it pays off. I can see the value in the first prints or in a extremely limited print runs of the reprints. But who knows, I always felt that way about Teanage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1 and look how how high those reprints have gone. I still would stick to the first prints and maybe the second and sixth print die to the rarity.
Yah, this will the only time I try this with a modern book. I am leaning towards keeping the 1A and the 6th print depending what the prices are sold for once a trailer comes out. Thanks for watching and commenting Comic Journey.

I thought it was too high at the time but I had about 15 books, because I had purchased multiples. I did have an offer option and no one made one. As for letting it go, sure. Im willing to let it go for the right price.
