While many people have reported seeing or experiencing strange phenomena which can’t all be dismissed as eating too much cheese before bed I’m firmly in the “I don’t know” camp. Having said that I would assume a ghost would wander around places they wandered around during their lifetime as a sort of replay for want of a better term. Do they really turn up at random places such as Kenilworth Castle which, several years after her death, was granted to her widower by Queen Elizabeth I. Even if you believe in ghosts it seems a bit of a stretch to imagine the ghost of Amy Robsart would opt to haunt a place she never had cause to visit while she was alive.
It's a very valid point, and a question I pose in the video hoping to start this kind of debate. Amy's ghost also reputedly appeared to her husband at Cornbury Park in Oxfordshire, warning him of his own imminent death. If there was a thread of unfinished business, and it's a big 'if', then she may be the apparition reported at Kenilworth. On the other hand, it could be an unrelated spirit. I love hearing different views, so I'll pin your comment and invite other viewers to participate. Thank you for watching the video! ☺
@@Hidden_Realms I would also add how would anyone know that the ghostly apparition in Tudor dress roaming around Kenilworth was the ghost of Amy Robsart? The portraits said to be of her all look different and the miniature most attributed to her others claim are of Katherine Howard or Lady Jane Grey. That miniature was never listed as being in the possession of Robert Dudley - although that can’t be proven one way or the other. Dudley’s cause of death has been attributed to either malaria or stomach cancer and he stopped off at Cornbury Park en route to Buxton to “take the waters.” He had, it’s reported, been ill for some time but his death was still sudden and unexpected - only week earlier he had been at Court with the Queen. But would either of those debilitating illnesses have rendered him fit enough for a casual stroll in the forest where he would encounter the spectre of his late wife warning him of him imminent demise? Sorry if my scepticism is showing in response to the questions you posed. I did enjoy the video - it’s a long time since I visited Kenilworth. As I said I have both feet firmly planted in the “don’t know” camp but would be interested to read other opinions.
So, this is just my thoughts on things related to hauntings and all. I think some aren't so much imprints of the past, while others might be (I also have heard that we, the living, create supernatural occurrences due to collective emotions in a place, too - so that they won't even be attached to the shade of an individual, but a feeling or idea that's been building in a place or thing! ). Regarding Amy Robsart, if her spirit is full in the essence of it being her rather than a memory or expression of her, she might have the capacity to wander outside of the places she knew or went in life. That being said, I don't know either - its just a thought, a possibility. She could have been drawn there due to sorrow, envy or anger - perhaps all three - or maybe just the want to see? I don't think we're ever going to know the truth behind these stories (ghosts and what not), which sometimes makes me sad. XD I mean, we'll all find out once we're beyond the veil as well, but that isn't helpful right now, you know? Still, it's just fun to think about, generally. In truth, above all, I hope that Amy has found some semblance of peace and joy in the afterlife - whatever form that may really take. Kick him to ye olde curbside, milady - that type of thought. XD
@@bellesorciere8932 while still in the “I don’t know camp” I confess to the strange tale of my son’s supposedly haunted house. Their house is built on the foundations of an old cotton mill and, despite being the biggest sceptic around, my son admitted to seeing a little boy running along the corridor one evening. He knew his 3 year old son was sound asleep in bed cos he’s just been to check in him. The next day while he was discussing this with my daughter in law - in the hushed tones adults use when they don’t want little ears to overhear - my grandson stopped paying with his cars and just chilled them both by saying “Oh, that’s little Tommy, he’s my friend.” They subsequently bought a book in which the history of the mill was featured and discovered that an 8 year old boy was killed after being caught up in the machinery - his name was Thomas. Over the years one or two inexplicable events occurred but, as my grandson got older they stopped and they never thought anymore about it. That was until one day their new neighbour - who had moved in with two small children - asked if anything strange had ever happened in their house. It looked as if “little Tommy” preferred to inhabit a place where there were still toys. But my son is still a sceptic and my grandson, now 24, has absolutely no recollection of “his friend.” Make of that what you will.

Interesting stories, as in one stated that Elizabeth the 1st did not want to ever married, as she witnessed her father promiscous life and she was afraid of men trying to abuse her. Based on this, it is hard to digest that she felt in love with Robert Dudley, considering he was married to Amy, and she be part of poisoning and killing Amy, so she could married Robert; it doesn't make sense, but who know what was cooking on those years....too much secretive lives with dark ends.
It does appear Elizabeth did indeed love Robert Dudley but she never intended to marry, as she stated 'I am Queen here and I shall have no master '. Elizabeth wasn't about to be subordinate to any man. After her death, in the casket she kept beside her bed was found a letter marked in her hand 'his last letter ' it was from the Earl.
There is a model of the place where Amy died. Watch Elizabeth I: Killer Queen. In the video they show the model. The host talks about her autopsy. Robert paid for a huge funeral but he did not attend. Robert gave Elizabeth a huge party. I think he paid what would be 200,000 pounds. I am a 64 year old Black Man from Rural East Texas but I have watch a lot of Dan Jones, Lucy Worsley. Henry VIII was a complete ass. Many years ago I had a history teacher from England. Anne Boleyn had three breast and the Americans cheated because we did not march in rows like the Brits. I will have to go back and watch more of your videos. It is ironic that King James as in the King James Bible was openly bi-sexual.
While many people have reported seeing or experiencing strange phenomena which can’t all be dismissed as eating too much cheese before bed I’m firmly in the “I don’t know” camp.

I don’t for a second doubt that they most likely poisoned her
hi, so confusing, why are they not in heaven with god ? Minsden chapel in herts is reported haunted but no one has seen anything,
This is not a ghost it is not spirit it is just memory of event by what energy is left of life
She never lived there it was given to Robert years after Amy s death by the queen
Why on earth would Amy Robsart haunt the ruins of Kenilworth Castle?
It's a question I pose in the video.
Thank you for sharing! ☺
The ghost looks very similar to Taylor Swift Look Closely
Subtítulos en español por favor
¡Saludos! No soy hispanohablante, pero investigaré cómo proporcionar subtítulos en español para futuros videos. 😊
