For that price, they should have a deployant clasp to add longevity to what is a pretty expensive leather strap. For $300, I can't see it being much better than the genuine Cartier straps other than the variety.
@@NeL-1 so, I've done some additional research and I think it might be a decent value. Mainly because the majority of the Delugs straps are $200 and because the OEM straps from Cartier are very imited in colorways and 2x the price. Still think they should come with a deployant at that price.

Thinking to the future - say you were to hand down your Santos to a grandchild, do you think there could be an issue finding replacement straps/bracelets at that time due to the unique system? In 50 years, who knows if Cartier will even be making the bracelets for this particular model anymore...
Dude one suggestion that might work out well for you. Review women's watches as well in your style. I was looking for a watch for my missus and I realised that not one women on youtube can review a watch without showing themselves full body or telling their life story or what outfits the watch looks good with. I think some women would appreciate just a simple close up review style like yours
Good video matey. I looked at their web site this morning over a cup of tea and a chocolate biscuit (I'm British you see) and was impressed but confused. They seem to over work the copy and the offer wasn't that simple to work out. Too much choice and not enough clarity. I am an advertising man of many decades and I know that often companies know everything about their own product but forget that the punter doesn't. I do like the Santos very much but would buy the earlier version but that is now an issue for me because the other day I found the limited edition Bell & Ross BR05 Holorum, which is similar to a Santos and am struggling to make a decision. What say you Mr Terrific?
Very cool...☺ Too many OEMs are loosing a/the chance to make their watches even more popular, by not providing additional straps. But at least, good for the aftermarket guys.
The proprietary system is all fun and beautiful and different from the others, etc....until you want to change the strap. Makes no sense imo and of course brands like Delugs will take advantage and charge over 200 for a strap (and with those buckles, come on!). There's no need to reinvent the wheel.

seems Cartier/Richmont's lawyers got to Delugs and they no longer offer this. Shame. Really want a rubber strap for my santos medium

Apparntly Delugs will stop or has stopped selling these. They will not say why but I suspect it may have something to do with a Cartier legal team.

They are actually working on designing their own deployant clasp atm! There are some available at the moment but those are sourced from somewhere else
