My own thoughts of Fast and Furious:
The Fast and the Furious - had cheesy moments but the acting, action sequences and cars were impressive.
2 Fast 2 Furious - much more pleasant than the first one and a bit underrated but definitely one of the weakest films in the series.
Tokyo Drift - lots of people like and that’s fine but I think that it’s easily the worst one. The characters and acting were flat and honestly didn’t feel necessary.
Fast and Furious 4 - underrated and the shift from street racing to heists feel natural.
Fast and Furious 5 - poorly paced in the first half but gets stronger towards the end. Good action, good acting and a great intro to The Rock as Hobbs.
Fast and Furious 6 - in my opinion, an improvement over the last and definitely one of the strongest films in the series.
Fast and Furious 7 - in my opinion, the best one in the series. Had more depth, well crafted action sequences and a respectful goodbye to Paul Walker as Brian O’Connor.
Fast and Furious 8 - unnecessary, Charlize Theron as the villain was bland but it still had lots of entertaining moments (7 should have been the last one though)
Hobbs and Shaw - over the top but still enjoyable and legitimately funny.
Fast and Furious 9 - definitely not worth the hype. Poorly written, crafted and didn’t top the previous films in a smart way (Tyrese Gibson and Ludacris carried the movie though)
