I date a Mexican guy and I’ve learned so much from him and his family. I actually knew some things from my dad who lived in Texas and from having Spanish classes. I was prepared, but I still get plenty of surprises and experience new things all the time! Tbh it’s amazing and the best relationship ever!

Luckily, I minored in Russian in college, BOY were they surprised and delighted I was able to conversate with them as I did the appraisal. Good for you man, enjoy your life and stay healthy.

I'm Mexican and my husband is white. He never suggests Trader Joe's but when we found ourselves in a store similar to Trader Joe's when we were traveling, he was so excited about it. He loved the store and I thought it sucked.
Awww my ex bf is Mexican and I moved there with him, but I'm back in Australia now. However, I now put chilli and lime on fruit (jicamas), make myself Micheladas ( I even miss the ones in a can), sook about there not being a salsa to pour over my popcorn at the cinema and I crave sweet bread sooooooo bad. Oh and Bleach, everything is cleaned with bleach, even the backyard tiles (cheaper yessssss). My Aussie friends are like WTF. hahahahahah. Ahhhhh but the worst is there are no nice tortillas here in Australia (I like the corn ones). I also miss going to the beach, filling an esky up with can Micheladas and eating spicy Doritos while sunbaking. Ahhh another foood I love, that I just can't get here Nopali oh and esquites (no cotija or Oaxaca cheese or even Epazote anywhere in Australia). Mexico has the best food in the world.

The Bimbo bread reminds me of when my logic professor was saying that he would look at people's shirt to remember their names (color and figures on the shirts help a lot), and there was one time he was taking attendance and he was calling people by their shirts to ask their names when this girl had the Mexico soccer shirt with the words Bimbo on top. He said he was so embarrassed (he's from the north US) and didn't want to call her the word out because you know Bimbo means something else in English, so he just called her soccer girl. Close to the ending of class, he asked why she would wear that shirt and the other students explained why, and he felt relieved. I never thought of the name that way because I assumed they were different spelling, but it's funny to remember that.
Oh yeah it’s the Old Chivas jersey that was sponsored by Bimbo and I wore it once and Vietnam Veteran told me it wasn’t good but I explained what it was

This reminds me of when my sister brought my future brother-in-law to dinner. We are from Venezuela, and we have a dish that is similar to menudo. Because my sister’s boyfriend was the honored guest, she placed the pig’s foot in his plate. Up until that point, the only Latin food he had ever had was Taco Bell. My brother-in-law turned to my sister and asked her what it was. When she explained he told her he couldn’t eat it. My sister advised him that he would be insulting my mother if he didn’t eat it. 😂😂

Hey chuy, I have a couple video suggestions that would be cool to see. First is, Mexicans at Graduation Season (since like its graduation season rn), it would be cool to see what would happen. Another is Mexicans at Hotels, since my parents would always make me clean the room even though its a hotel, and make me take 2 showers a day to "use more shampoo since its free" but anyways these are just cool video suggestions
I always bring small empty plastic containers and pump the shampoo and conditioner so I can take them with me. One hotel I have frequented has Hispanic women cleaning the room and I always leave them a big tip and give them fairly new clothes. I get the biggest hugs from them.
We should embrace the idea of being with the person we love regardless of categories

Shocks me too. Downstate there's this Mexican grocery store called Northgate, and it's BOMB (tamales, chicken, MEAT-ESPECIALLY MEAT, dairy, panaderia bread, spicy peanuts, etc). Still go there because competitive Mexican markets (El Super most notably) in the area can't beat it in quality
