The first time I met him was at a zombie run, and I have knee problems so I couldn't participate (I just came to the event for the convention portion) and literally everyone was out doing the run. My buddy and I were standing outside of one of the buildings talking and Tyler walks out smoking a cigar. He said something along the lines of "Shit it looks like its about to start pouring". Then I was like "Yeah its gonna get bad out". He then waved us over to sit at a picnic table with him and we all talked for about 2 hours about everything from Halloween to the movie he was location scouting at the time called Penance Lane. We talked about all kinds of shit. The second time I met him at another convention I coincidentally had the same Black Sabbath shirt on I had when I first met him and he was like "Hey I remember talking to you and your buddy at the zombie run!" Awesome and very down to earth dude.
SethHesio Rob didn't wanted to do a second movie. He was forced by the studio to do a second movie, so thats why Halloween 2 (2009) was a disappointed.

They would rather see a Michael Myers who can never die and can never be a real person, than a Michael Myers who started off as a child then got bullied (which is a realistic type of serial killer motivation) and can die (which is more realistic because he can actually die). They also say shit like 'it's bad because he has a backstory in this movie'. But so does the original Myers when he kills his sister in 1978.
the arguement ive seen is that its scarier if we dont know why did the things he did, or understand how he survive so many incendents and so on. the way the camera is on the main characters while michael is the far background gives a errie feeling that you are constantly on his watch. in the remake hes more of a typical serial killer some people like that some dont. some characters need a mystery.
screw all that! he was a beast in the rob zombies. he was slower Jason in freddy v Jason in the originals. nothing scary about him and I didn't find him interesting. in rob's, he was a brute who was very aggressive. I loved it.
These guys did Halloween the best. Both 1 and 2 were absolute quality. I love how he included all the shit Michael went through as a kid at home and at school that pushed him over the edge in the first movie. And 2 is just the most absolute ruthless and extra violent killing scenes over any other Halloween movie made by the others.

In the DVD commentary for the movie, Rob Zombie says that Tyler wore a wig in the movie. The problem with the wig tho, is that when he went to put the mask on, he had a hard time getting it over the wig. So when you see him start to put the mask on, there's a cut. He then takes the wig off. They resume filming with no wig under the mask. But when you see him with the mask on, they put bits of hair in the back at the bottom to make it look like he still has the long hair.

Does anybody know how tall Tyler Mane is for certain? I've heard 6'10 at one point, and here he says 6'8, but Rob is only 5'10, maybe 5'11 at best, and Mane doesn't look all that much taller than him.
