I scoured the internet hoping you had a build video two weeks ago. Lmao 🤣🤣 Just about finished with mine, with heavy "cheap and lazy" wooden hobbyist vibes, and framless. Either way, thanks for the inspiration 😉
@The Wooden Hobbyist went with some birch. Luckily, granted a bit unlucky, about 3 months ago, a week after I bought a 4x8 sheet 3/4" birch for 86 bucks for a separate project. I found out about a local cabinet shop, that also sells wood out of their warehouse, and solid quality birch is like 42 bucks, pre-tax. So I went with birch. Though I'm not much of a "natural wood look" guy for things like this, so I still painted the frame black, doors a solid smoke gray, and sealing up the edges with spackle, and then painting those a mid-dark red. Was able to get 4 single cabinets with doors 30"x15" and 12" depth.
@The Wooden Hobbyist whether you already know this or not, lol, just checking out or calling around places (I hate interacting over a phone call so it's a big step 🤣🫣) has been beneficial. And I'm thinking it's turning out awesome, it's my first time doing cabinets (only about 2 years new into wood working. Messy ass garage has gotta get organized. Tired of being however many beers in and stepping on God knows what, or spending 3 hours looking for my straight edge or tape measure. 🤣🤣). Gonna throw my military service symbol on one door, hyrule crest (legend of zelda nerd) on another, and still thinking on the other two. I'd share some photos if I could. Quick tip if you're in texas: look up Precision Interior Products. They might have what you're looking for 😉

That was the reason I did this. I needed my workspace to be cleaner and more organized lol shit gets crazy. In Missouri, not Texas, unfortunately.
