@MaxVelocityWX I greatly appreciate the job you're doing! I am a multi-generational Floridian and it's great that you are extremely good at the forecasts you do!!! Thank you Sir!
I don’t know how much more autumn like it could be in this area of Ohio. It has been colder than normal for nearly a week here, and a very serious drought is also in place.
I'm in Southern Ohio. Its finally cooled off (finally below 90) and the office building AC finally isn't' blasting. Its been an oven outside and a fridge in my office. Very dry here, so the rain and cooler weather is welcome.
i live in Racine Wi.I work 1 mile from Lake Michigan. One morning in 2003 i think it was i was driving to work, and, at 6:50 am i stopped at a stop sign where you could see Lake Michigan. On that day i saw 3 side by side by side spouts no more than 1 mile out. They were symmetrically perfect, equally spaced and about 1 mile high. I had no idea what i was looking at, panicked, drove the last mile to work at 120 mph, went inside and yelled TORNADOES! not one of my brightest moments…🙄. i WILL be on the lake, live VERY close to it, monitoring for spouts, looking for the perfect photo i should have taken in 2003 lol.
Same here in northern Indiana. Weirdly cool most of August and a cool start to September. Already hit the upper 30s in August. Snow will be hitting early this fall I bet.
I think i can speak for all of us in Ohio and Tennessee valleys when i say, this cold front is so welcomed. Also my school had mini golf yesterday and I thought of you and Connor Croff 😂
@@n.2488 winter varies even more wildly, sometimes it's in the 70s and 80s, which leads to big storms, but other times it's lucky to be greater than the 30s
We appreciate you! Thanks for the detailed information. You're more accurate than the local weather forecasts in Michigan, and more interesting as you explain what's going on.
I kept hearing about the waterspout possibilities over the Great Lakes... Nothing to be nervous over cuz they're typically not a threat to land, right...?
A cold blast is likely in the Midwest and the Ohio Valley, and the tropics are getting active, and don’t be scared, be prepared when the storms reach your location

I'm looking forward to cool weather, but I'm not ready for snow quite yet!! Yikes! Thank you for your hard work Max! (and for doing this forecast when you don't even have internet!)
The Great lakes are known for severe weather and storms that appear suddenly The story of the ship the Edmund Fitzgerald is well known as the dangerous waters have capsized many ships
As a Houstonian, I don't want any more crazy weather this season. Beryl knocked power out for over a week, that was not fun. We've been getting a decent amount of rain, don't really need that either.
Bit of a stretch to call waterspouts a "rare event". Anyone who lives there can tell you they are common. I was up on top of Perry's Monument (Lake Erie) years ago and counted six waterspouts happening north of the islands. No big deal just don't drive your boat over to them LOL. Just checked NOAA for columbus area this weekend. Lows of 45-50F over this time frame in the video. Completely normal for early Sept. We are only 2-3 weeks away from potential first frost.
@eye-of-omega why not? Are today's families--and kids--so wimpy that cooler weather means you have to hide in the house? Humans have "camped" outside for thousands of years at all ages--without today's equipment. Kid will be fine.
I believe states without rain need to get a Tesla coil and make artificial lightning and put it in the sky and from my understanding because of the temperature of the lightning the lightning will make the hydrogen split and cause it to rain and that is the reason why lightning strikes across the sky
