I'm with Karl on this. In the summer I love peacefully sitting down and watching butterflies and all sorts of fancy things doing their business. It's one of life's purest pleasures, which resets stress and makes you appreciate your surroundings.
I’ve also done the ‘saving insects’ thing. I feel bad when I watch something drown, if I can just lift my finger, save an ant floating on the pool surface, etc, it’s nothing much but I have done it
Yes, I really enjoy sitting in the yard, having a few cold beers while watching birds, rabbits, squirrels and various insects. Sometimes a beetle lands on my knee or something, and I do enjoy watching it closely. Last summer I even got a bit of a surprise while watching these little birds next to me, and suddenly a hawk dove out of nowhere and grabbed one of them.
Karl has quite literally saved me from depression many times. I don’t know how many times I’ve listened to the XFM radio shows and then the podcasts. Laughing remedies the soul
I started listening when I was 23, am now 40. Can’t believe I’m older than Karl and Steve were at the time 🤦🏻♀️am in fact the age Ricky was in season 1. Man Moth’ was my biggest laugh out loud moment on first listen. Never gets old Xox
I've been listening to the Ricky Gervais Show for years, even the old XFM recordings. The show always makes me laugh even if i've heard them plenty of times in the past, and they mean a lot to me since they always help make me smile when I'm sad. I think it's so dope that you guys are bringing the show to a different audience. You guys are funny af too! Keep it up.
I listen to these 3 seasons, the Pods and the XFM stuff about once a year at least and have done for over a decade. It’s great to now rewatch all these with my 2 American bros. Haha
Oh yea I heard about the thousand leg millipede. Apparently it's the first "true" millipede because we've found no millipedes with 1000 actual legs, The species with most legs top out at like 600+. The one we recently found, living deep in a borehole, had 1300+ legs.
Your conversation after the show is priceless. “You won’t be catching me stroking bees. Or any insects” “who’s out there stroking bees and spiders?” Literally cracked me up
Seeing carl talk about the bee actually reminded me of the budgie I had as a kid. One day while in the kitchen it was above the sink on the curtain rail. It had a heart attack and fell straight down into the bowl in the sink and drowned. True story. 😂
the man dug up in ireland with the hair gel was the Clonycavan Man. the wikipeida entry on the sunject establishes thay the body was 2300 years old... old but not quite dinosaur level old. :P the flies in the fly story where caught in a trap and the researcher sived through the countless specimen and found the flies thought not native to the UK.
If you’re around the water enough you end up seeing quite a lot more washed up/dead fish than you would imagine otherwise. I fish quite regularly and it’s really not uncommon seeing a dead fish and/or other sea/aquatic life from time to time. That being said, I fucking love this show and this channel for that matter. Very happy for these guys, they bring me a lot of amusement and I’m happy for the success they’ve gained/earned and that Bert came across them and has given them the chance to be seen on other outlets such as “Open Tabs”. Please keep doing what you’re doing, both your choices of what to react to and your reactions just crack me up and I need that shit in my life. Especially right now/recently - thank you.
You guys should do reaction videos on the show Derek with Ricky Gervais and Carl pilkington among others. U guys might have some beautiful emotional moments. Fantastic funny show
Everybody here loves having pudding, we has it everyday at 6 o'clock. Sometimes we has jelly what is cold and sometimes we has custard what is hot. 🤣❤️
Fun fact. Statistically speaking, you're never more than 6 feet from a spider. No matter where you are. Which means, they're watching you sleep. Every night. :-)
They didn't find the "first" millipede haha Just an ancient one that is the largest we've ever found in a fossil. It was like 8ft long. Fuuuuuuuuck that!
Aahhh, now it all makes sense. This episode referenced the frog episode, but I had the feeling that I never saw them react to that, I didn't remember them reacting to it... and it's because they didn't. They skipped the episode.
I think Rondo is on about the fossil they found, of a millipede. 8 foot long, weighing an estimated 100 pounds. Imagine coming across one of those. You'd have a head start while it was putting its shoes on, though.
I love Karl talking about animals because he has this moronic utilitarian perspective where he thinks everything should have evolved to be practical according to his standards
They're called eusocial animals. That means they're completely coordinated as a collective. Thing is they're driven completely by chemical signals like little robots. So I don't think humans could live like that. The naked mole rat is an eusocial mammal and they're probably conscious though. So there's that.
You guys should watch the season 2 episodes where Karl gets a real scientist on a call and asks them why jelly fish are around 😂 tells her they’re pointless
Frank: For the past few years, Ricky Gervais... (With a posh British accent) The narrator: For the past few years, Ricky Gervais... (The dude sounds like he's from Oklahoma)
insects have 6 legs and 3 body segments, as in bees, ants, and butterflies. arachnids have 8 legs, and include the likes of spiders, scorpions, and ticks. millipedes and centipedes are neither.
The Irish guy from dinosaur times with the hair gel is real. Obviously he didn't coexist with dinosaurs but I've seen his body at the Irish Museum. Score for Karl!
From what I know britons did sort of use hair gel during the roman Iron age so again Karl is 15 % right because that's not even close to the time of the dinosaurs. New Zealand had giant eagles that could carry off a human child at that point though so there's that.
“If moths had eyes”
“Fuck me!”
😂😂😂😂
Ricky lost it IMMEDIATELY! 😂
I'm with Karl on this. In the summer I love peacefully sitting down and watching butterflies and all sorts of fancy things doing their business. It's one of life's purest pleasures, which resets stress and makes you appreciate your surroundings.
Agree 100%
Absolutely
So your saying you like watching animals and insects take a shit or piss?
I’ve also done the ‘saving insects’ thing. I feel bad when I watch something drown, if I can just lift my finger, save an ant floating on the pool surface, etc, it’s nothing much but I have done it
Yes, I really enjoy sitting in the yard, having a few cold beers while watching birds, rabbits, squirrels and various insects. Frank’s giggle when Karl reads his poem is everything ❤️
This one is in my top 3 favorite episodes from the whole show. Absolutely hilarious 😂😂
Yes Absolutely 😊👍 Is "Freaks" also one of your other favorites by chance?

I love you guys, so genuine and likeable, also very easy on the eye!
Keep doing what you are doing, you are a beautiful light in a dark world x
I agree, very easy on the eye.
There really is nothing funnier. This episode and Mrs Battersby are my favourite, great reaction as ever 😂
And the Mr Dilkington one 😂😂 Ricky nearly passing out cos he can’t breathe for laughing
I've been listening to the Ricky Gervais Show for years, even the old XFM recordings. I fall asleep listening to the old XFM shows every night. I have probably listened to every one of them more than 50 times.
I listen to these 3 seasons, the Pods and the XFM stuff about once a year at least and have done for over a decade. It’s great to now rewatch all these with my 2 American bros. Haha

Was just going to go get in bed and instead I'm rolling another one.. thanks guys you're a bad influence! 👍🏼
Oh lord I hope you guys get to hear Karls’ poems about being in the hospital and his kidney stones!🤣🤣🤣
Or this one that I'll never forget..
Bubbled wallpaper, what a mess.
Washer dryer knackered, what a mess.
Siamese twins separated, one leg less.
The comic relief episode in season 3 is my personal favourite.
Mick from Australia here fellas. You guys are the best. I love how you get Karl because a lot of people dont. Hilarious.
"they found them both within the same distance" that's got to be my favourite quote from Karl
" we`ve got episode 4 season 2 "
" ok. ok. season 4 episode 2.."
" yeah.."
This dude adds literally nothing to the intro it kills me everytime
The “Hmmmmm ok…ok….” Makes me laugh every time.
Can we just agree that karl is a treasure
Sometimes. Other times hes a moany namby pamby pansy
I have no idea why I love you guys so much...
Karl actually had some bars at the end. It'd be spiteful to put JELLYfish in a trifle was actually pretty decent lmaoo
Oh yea I heard about the thousand leg millipede. Apparently it's the first "true" millipede because we've found no millipedes with 1000 actual legs, The species with most legs top out at like 600+. The one we recently found, living deep in a borehole, had 1300+ legs.
Idk why but when they showed the 2 “new flies” at 20:43 I just pictured the pair as Jay & Silent Bob 😂
Your conversation after the show is priceless. “You won’t be catching me stroking bees. Or any insects” “who’s out there stroking bees and spiders?” Literally cracked me up
I would pay good money to attend a Karl Pilkington slam poetry event 😂
You know Karl's probably very happy in his life.
Damn I needed to laugh after the day I had! Thank you.
Seeing carl talk about the bee actually reminded me of the budgie I had as a kid. One day while in the kitchen it was above the sink on the curtain rail. It had a heart attack and fell straight down into the bowl in the sink and drowned.
True story. 😂
My favorite place to smoke down and watch carl
'' Are you still talking to the octopus ''....hahahahaha
I really look forward to this
“hmmm okay okay” every time haha love it
This is what I imagine a Cheech & Chong react video would be like.
I love listening to Karl roast the animal kingdom
😆🤣
Ah, this one made me laugh so hard! Love watching y'all react to Karl X)
Love these reactions, thankyou!
The police negotiator one is hilarious, it's a bit between Ricky and Karl and it's very funny
Yes! One of the best ones they've done. My stomach hurt from laughing so hard 😄
I always thought that either Rondo had a giant head or that Frank's was tiny, until Rondo finally leaned back. Great episode guys, thanks!
woohoo my favorite time of the week. Frankensteins Karl
The animation is so clever.
At 14:46, Steve questions Ricky's rant of profanities 🐙😆
I find insects fascinating ...I.love karls Diary ....Karl is a star an love your beautiful laughter thanku so much love you loads God bless x

Another great reaction guys 💯✌️🇮🇪
Thanks guys. Love watching shit with y'all
I wanted to tell you guys that I have carefully avoided watching any of these so I could watch 'em with you.
Merch that Franken snapback!!
Arachnophobia is life changing 😂 they breed in the barn on a farm and kill the people in the area.
Ricky lines I use on the daily:
-absolute drivel
-don’t talk shit
-fuck me! (In laughter)
my favorite part of these videos is whatever bullshit rondo says at the beginning lmao
Spiders are arachnids not insects, nobody knows where spiders evolved from really. We just know the exist and they’re fucking wierd n creepy lol
the man dug up in ireland with the hair gel was the Clonycavan Man. the wikipeida entry on the sunject establishes thay the body was 2300 years old... old but not quite dinosaur level old. :P the flies in the fly story where caught in a trap and the researcher sived through the countless specimen and found the flies thought not native to the UK.

Why don't you react to the series bottom you'd love it
They didn't find the "first" millipede haha Just an ancient one that is the largest we've ever found in a fossil. It was like 8ft long. Fuuuuuuuuck that!
This is funny as shit but it's a horrible science class.
this is ep 5 not ep 4. ep 4 is onion.

Aahhh, now it all makes sense. This episode referenced the frog episode, but I had the feeling that I never saw them react to that, I didn't remember them reacting to it... and it's because they didn't. They skipped the episode.
I’m not gonna lie. I really enjoyed his poetry.
I'm doing the "awight" thing at the start too. You guys are cracking me up with that.
I think Rondo is on about the fossil they found, of a millipede.
8 foot long, weighing an estimated 100 pounds.

Karl's 100% correct on ants - up to 20% of them are lazy (slag off). This is a recent find. 1/5 of the worker ants often don't do much work.
Source?
YESSSS... MORE KARL

Wether centipede and spiders are insects doesn’t matter, they’re all part of the same gang
insects have 6 legs and 3 body segments, as in bees, ants, and butterflies. arachnids have 8 legs, and include the likes of spiders, scorpions, and ticks. millipedes and centipedes are neither.
Those poems were gold
These are so off-the-wall funny.
That's a profound poem!
These poems kill me 🤣
The Irish guy from dinosaur times with the hair gel is real. Obviously he didn't coexist with dinosaurs but I've seen his body at the Irish Museum. Score for Karl!
So was his hair slick from fossil fuel?
yay both my ears get to enjoy this one. :D
The moth poem kills me 😂😂
