The air festival was held on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at Japan's Air Self-Defense Force Misawa Air Base. Misawa Air Base is the only Japan-U.S. joint air operations base in the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, and is crowded with people every year when the Air Festival is held.
There were also demonstration flights of aircraft belonging to the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, aerobatic displays of F-16 fighter jets belonging to the U.S. Air Force's Pacific Wing, and a Blue Impulse demonstration flight.
