Yay Wojtek! Already knew who it was from the thumbnail. As a Hearts of Iron IV fan, I learned about this awesome guy from the fact that you can get him as a commander of an army and even promote him to the king of your country if you have the No Step Back expansion. Such a weird but cool story.

Remember the grizzly man, dude who got eaten alive? The bears name was “Occy the bear”, and his favorite food is fruit cake.
8:10 The fact that he murdered countless innocents people and still was given a heroes welcome, proves the Japanese are not sorry for WW2, but still, his story deserve a Netflix series.
My name is also Wojtek and I smoke cigarettes and drink beer.
Thanks for the info. Their was actually a fact or two in this video that even I didn't know about. And I'm normally pretty knowledgeable about WWII.

In 2017 a street in Poznan, Poland was named after Wojtek. The street, now named ulica Kaprala Wojtka (Corporal Wojtek Street), leads to the Poznan New Zoo.
In September 2018 a wooden statue of Wojtek was unveiled in the Poznan New Zoo, funded by Krystyna Wieczorek, the author of a Polish book about Wojtek.

USSR is not Russia. Russia was a republic under the United Soviet Socialist Republics. Calling Russia as USSR is like calling England as UK.
Some of the bloodiest battles in WW2 were fought in 1945. Even after the war is Lost you still have some German Resistance fighters even commanders that will fight to the Very Last Man..... Like the Ukrainians 😉
Bloodiest is a stretch but true

ummm, maybe saying "only 40 million" was the wrong choice of words
Ha, ghandi was very nationalist.
To parapharsr Mussolini, Fascism is really corporationism. So the state makes and or is run by corporate elites even within the government as authoritianism. In Ghandi's eyes England was already that, but the question remained how to turn that back over to India; and they kept the English bureaucracy. They made it "Indian" over English paperwork.
Stalin starved to death 6 to 8 times as many of his citizens in the 1930's during farm collectivazation as soldiers died in Stalingrad. His reasoning, to show them who's boss.

The last Japanese soldier did not surrender in 1972. He surrendered on December 18, 1974. Sloppy. I knew he'd surrendered in 1974 but it did have to Google for the exact date.
Ghandi was an absolute horrible person. Do some reading.
