You got me in my TyphoonF6 last year but was sad not to see any of my runs Sunday in hearing aid biege coloured Explorer running against white Transit. I pipped him two out of three. Was a great meeting...keep up the good work👍

@@mk1kieran I watched a good 2 hours and seen the same cars lol must have been before I got there or after, seen 1 11 and 1 12 , rest slower
Drag Demos were where the quick ones were, I think most of the real quick Fords in the UK are currently undergoing work so that’s why it was a bit quiet on that front
Doesn't look over abundant with spectators. I've been going to Santa Pod since the very first meeting in 1966 but now they've changed the admission where you can't turn up on the day and pay admission they'll never see me again.
It was really busy on the show side of things, one of the busier ‘lifestyle’ shows I’ve been to this year but as the drag strip was fairly quiet due to the heat I think the spectators didn’t want to watch the same 30-40 cars going round as there was other things happening such as handling circuit, stunt show, live band, monster trucks etc
I've always gone to SP to see fast drivers and fast machinery. "Lifestyle shows" and all that other stuff more reasons why I'll never go again.
As do I but without these we wouldn’t have a Santa Pod, they’re massively important to keep it open.
As Kieran says, the " show " days enable the pod to keep reinvesting.
I was a regular during the 70's and 80's when it was 100% focus on the drag racing .
I was involved in the first Run Wat You Brung's , and the money they generated (at £5 for unlimited runs 😲) was not lost on promotors and service providers (food,sweets, car parts,etc) .
I assume Keith bought the pod with the intention of having as many weekend events as the weather allowed, and to his credit the pod is now a day out to 1000's of people,for whom drag racing is the side line for the event they go for.
