thanks !!! sometimes my teacher explains things and I still don't understand...and I ask question and I still don't understand...then I don't worry because I know that when I get home I will have khan academy on my side.. You cause me to go from an 63% in math to a 97%..thanks your a life savor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
maybe dont go to school then and learn from Khan Academy. that would make more sense than getting up every morning and ... well dont even get me started i am glad Khan Academy has helped
Amber Hawkins: You are right sometimes our teacher fail to explain things which a student can understand. No matter how many times they try but their approach is nowhere to be able to understand.
I'm currently taking my Master's and it's a shame that here I am, studying Statistics through Khan as if it were my first time. Thank you so much! You're a big help!
I love you man. When you explain math its like you're explaining a story or something. You don't explain procedures, you explain both procedure and reasons. And because you use accurate terms for every specific situation makes me understand the real meaning behind each word. Man you're one in a million
The whole playlist is great, but the last 20 videos (49-68) are simply amazing - clear, concise and very informative. Note: 57 should be between 53 and 54.
For many years, my family and myself, have used your channel. I find myself here; yet again. Thank you. I am getting so close to graduating with my Psychology degree. To get a better understanding, you just know how to use proper word choice and I am grateful for that. Thank you so much!
I forgot all of this which I learned when I was younger. I’m 31 years old now and revisiting to connect the dots to my knowledge now and it’s neat to experience the brain making sense and revisiting this information. Thank you Khan Academy for making education free.
Same here I am in my 30s and thinking about doing a masters degree and some stuff in quality management so first I need to "connect the dots" as you said
Man, just trying to learn statistics for a deeper understanding of Machine Learning. This guy just nailed it. Better than statistics classes i took during my undergrad and grad life
Thank you for providing free knowledge. I came here from channel - Siraj Raval. To learn Machine learning, he said we should know Maths, statistics and probability and he gave reference to your channel. Thanks both. And love from India, specially from Mumbai.
Your explanation makes statistical concepts understandable and comprehensible. I used to have many fears and doubts in statistics...now I am more confident and enthusiastic to attempt to solve stats problems. Thank you Mr Khan, and god bless.
I preparing for data science role and nobody taught me why median or mode, just formula given but your video made me understand the coexistence of median and mode. Thanks!!!
Haven't taken math since 10th grade, and I was awful then. One video in and I'm already optimistic that I'll be able to understand statistics! Thank you so much!!
im failing my psychological statistics class right now. ever since i found this, i feel like i can actually learn this crap! THANK YOU so much! You are teaching me all the things my teacher failed to help me learn, i have no words for how thankful i am, seriously!
OMG, I actually understood that!! I was even answering questions before he gave the answer. That was fun, I never thought I'd say that about stats. I find this impressive since the last stats class I took was back in '95. THANK YOU , Can't wait to watch the other videos.
Thank you for helping me pass Elementary Algebra high school today. I WAS going to be in a non college credit remedial course. but not anymore. scored 61 on the 1st test(Accuplacer) and scored 88 today for my retake
Funny how a playlist of videos is worth more time and money than going to a campus, in class. Sal is my real econ, biology, and statistics teacher. PatrickJMT was my real calculus teacher. Next time, I know to just do any math classes online and just look up these videos and not waste hours of my time and cause even more unneeded stress and indigestion. :/ Thanks, Sal! You're a real life saver!
Sawyer McBride I took business statistics and played my way through it (I passed, but idk what I'm doing!). Now, it has come back to haunt me because I have upper level business class called strategic management (it uses some statistics) coming up in a semester or two smh.
Yeah. I've been intrigued by neural networks and machine learning in general and I'm having to learn more math to make sense of it all. This is what I do in my free time, haha.
This is the first one of your videos I've watched and already I prefer it to my XBox 360! I'd love it if the teachers in my crappy school would just shut up, drink there coffee, and play your videos!! ;) Thanks a lot!!
thank God for all of your vids, , ,they got me going in calculus at the beginning of the semester when i was clueless, , ,taking Statistics next semester and hear ppl complainin bout how difficult it is so im tryin to get a head start, ,also taking programming next sem so i'll be on that soon also ,, cant thank you enough
I took "economical mathematics" in high school, and I'm starting Statistics in college in 3 days. There couldn't have been a better time in my life when i could have found this playlist. Now I can brush up on my knowledge and be the smartass in class. :P
Sal I really appreciate all the work you do. I am a Comp. Sc. Eng. Interested in maths and I consider Khan Academic my reliable and go to source for top notch educational content especially for maths. I have always feared maths and thought that I can’t do it, because I am not intelligent enough. But wen you teach it feels that its just my basics are not clear and once cleared, I can do it all. So thank you for this confidence that I get by learning math from you.
Hi Khan, Thanks for giving the wold a true meaning of knowledge! "I wonder how peace there maybe without commecialism" I am greatful for your humbleness! Million Thanks!
Thank you VERY MUCH FOR MAKING THIS MATH WORLD EASIER and CLEARER instead of professor giving BOOK Definitions and following examples..(sorry about caps)
beautiful! The other day at a party there was a discussion about the economic crisis. After watching your videos about that I explained what the causes were and pretty much described the whole situation. Everybody was impressed and its all thanks to you. THANK YOU SOO MUCH SAL
literally paying 5 grand a semester and free youtube videos teach me more. I'm taking a class right now called Vegetative Sampling Method and Design and my prof expects us to know statistics from day one, even though its not a prereq
I didnt need this to watch this..... but i started watching for fun and i found this very interesting! in short time the video endded and i wanted to see MORE XD
I'm not sure why I like statistics, but I do. Maybe I was hooked when I used the Auctioneer plugin for WORLD of Warcraft. Standard deviation was so useful for the auction house.
seriously speaking MR. Sal my statistics exam is next Friday and im really scared from that exam im watching your videos hoping i will pass it.. u know what will motivate me ? if u reply GOOD LUCK!
What statistical test to use when the researcher likes to know whether note taking has effect on students academic performance based on the quantity of their achievements (whether they became honor students etc.)? The basis for achievements are: How many times did they achieve High Honor, Honor, Principals Lister, Top Student in class.
Schools up until college are meant to equip you with a wide variety of skills so that, when you decide what you want to do in life, you have the solid foundation you need to pursue it. Plus, a lot of the skills you learn in school (especially elementary/middle school) DO come into play often in "real life". Without schools, how would we educate people? And if people weren't educated, how could humanity hope to advance its understanding of the world, or even hold on to its current understanding?
Have just come across this site, it's great but I really urge you to use a numbering system for your videos so I can find the next video in the sequence. For example, in the basic intro video you say you'll go on to talk about distribution of numbers away from the mean but theres no indication as to which one.

This fall, I am about to start my Masters too and doing this course AGAIN even though I have had in my undergrad n school days :(

As always khan academy is the best option to understand numbers and themes quickly.
I've watched the whole playlist and honestly you're a great help! Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!! Really... I'm so grateful!
Inferences include inductions that are not conclusions based on data, but guesses induced by data.
The concept of mean, median and mode is very clear now
Love it! I think real world school needs revolution!!!!
Thankyou you make thai sub because i form thailand thankyou very much🇹🇭🇹🇭
Awesome video . Helped me revise some A level concepts. However, we call it OUTLINER not OUTLIER.
I wonder, were the 89 that disliked the video were statistic teachers??

3 steps to get a good grade in your course
1) purchase textbook
2)watch khanacademy
3)do the exercises on your textbook
Good strategy, I would add doing Khan's exercises on the website as well.
