    hello brett love watching your video,but i notice that you kept adjusting the pro at climb out and not the throttle.thnk you happy holidays.🎄🎅

      Hi Marin........I was syncing the props so they sound the same otherwise it can become very annoying. As far as the Throttles, once I push them up for takeoff I don't touch them again until it's time for descent. I run WOT (Wide Open Throttle). Once at cruise I will adjust the props to 2400 RPM or so and then lean the mixtures......generally to a lean of peak setting. On these engines I don't have to lean the mixtures as I climb as they have the altitude compensating fuel pumps on them, so they lean the mixture themselves. Basically about a gallon per hour less per thousand feet of altitude during the climb.

    Good Vid. Should the props not have been set to full forward on final? You put them forward while on the rollout after landing, which kind of defeats the whole purpose in the first place right..... just an observation.

      Hi Gert.......
      I get that comment quite often and yes, you are right that most people are taught to put the props full forward on final in case of a go around. You will notice that unless I am doing an IMC approach or its a very windy day, my props stay where I had them for cruise. My logic is why change a good thing. The mixture and props stay where they are and the airplane is quite happy with that. If for what ever reason I have to go around on a nice day, I am always ready to shove the props forward..............
      After landing I push them full forward during either rollout or taxi as a "housecleaning" item in preparation for startup of the next flight.

    I'm looking at buying a b58, so trying to learn a little from watching your videos. Great job, I too was wondering why you kept adjusting the props, now I know.

    I'm in the Navy and my GI Bill can pay for flight school and I've always wanted to fly. I have about $900 a month that I can spend on a plane, would that be enough to cover the cost of a plane like this? I have several rental properties that generate additional income so I can invest in more if I had to, but I just wanted to know if my current income can support it.

      The best place to find ownership/operating expenses would be on a forum. For this type of airplane Beechtalk would be a good starting place. Expenses can vary wildly depending on many many factors.
