Had to go flying so I thought I'd do some filming. Along the way ATC gave me a traffic alert for vehicles while I was flying over the mountains in WV.

Love it!
Ruined a great video with the music, and I love the music.
Whats the reason why props arent fully foward during approach to landing?
You wanna sell that Baron?
Mixture, props full forward in case of a go around.
Beautiful landing Brett
What is your power settings at your cruise altitude right now and your fuel burn
This is what IFR flying is all about and I’m loving this especially in the B55
What is your GS at this altitude and your power settings
It’s been so long since and do you still have your B55 ? Love IFR flying
Brett my favorite high performance Multi engine Aircraft
Lose that lousy music please.
Nice setup
Please make more!
What type of gear oil do you use in it?
Sweet ride! Did you have any concern for icing this time?
Uh, Landing Checklist? It would appear that we missed some things with a lot of conversation.
These barons with the 550`s got to be awesome to fly...
Beautiful sound
rumble from v12 is best rumble i have ever expirienced. this is how every mercedes v12 should of sound. 65series have for my opinion quite not matching sound considering the look. this is mean, this is right way to go.
Falcon 900 is a beautiful jet
I now work at Johnstown airport. Come visit me sometime, i might just marshall you in someday! Nulton Aviation will take great care of your flight needs! Happy landings!!
Your cam angle is so Kool. All RUclips pilots should use it.
Not to burst your bubble, but you can get 176 TAS at 14500 at about 11 gph. 👨✈️
Great to see a great performance out of the Colemills
That radio in the background at the destination.
He's got two high flow Magna flow cat con, a resonator delete, and a Magnaflow High flow 11385. I'm going to replicate this on my 1998 SL500 and hope that the result sounds somewhat F1. If not I'm going to have two glass pack cherry bombs instead of the 11385 Magna flow muffler
Hi Captain Baron, Nice Smooth Speed. ✈️
Hi Captain Baron, I’m getting Married Next Year, me and my Fiancée going to Jamaica 🇯🇲 for our Honeymoon do u drive the regular air plane ✈️, just asking
contract or new plane?
Hey, I've just been watching Duke Pilot with this same airplane. I guess he must have sold it to you. I'm envious, that is one very nice B55, and I love the paint job on it. Good buy!
Hey Gary....Yes we bought it off of Duke Pilot. It has proven to be a great airplane with minimal issues and a great family traveler with ice protection and top shelf onboard color radar. Thank you for the nice comments!! Blue skies.
wide lens did a terrific job,see airspeed n altimeter n geat view...
I am curious what the white box is?
Appareo Stratus.........for receiving ADSb
Nice landing! Right on the centerline!
Nice landing, music is annoying!
Thank you........and sorry. It wasn't annoying as I was flying.
you listen to music in flight???
I'm in the Navy and my GI Bill can pay for flight school and I've always wanted to fly. I have about $900 a month that I can spend on a plane, would that be enough to cover the cost of a plane like this? I have several rental properties that generate additional income so I can invest in more if I had to, but I just wanted to know if my current income can support it.
The best place to find ownership/operating expenses would be on a forum. For this type of airplane Beechtalk would be a good starting place. Expenses can vary wildly depending on many many factors.
Brett, how do you mount your camera? I tried using the GoPro double stick mount on the speaker vent but found that it shakes to much on takeoff and initial full power climb.
I'll try to remember to take a picture of the mount next time I'm out at the airport.
Brett Nicolette thanks! I would greatly appreciate it!
Good Vid. Should the props not have been set to full forward on final? You put them forward while on the rollout after landing, which kind of defeats the whole purpose in the first place right..... just an observation.
Hi Gert....... I get that comment quite often and yes, you are right that most people are taught to put the props full forward on final in case of a go around. You will notice that unless I am doing an IMC approach or its a very windy day, my props stay where I had them for cruise. My logic is why change a good thing. The mixture and props stay where they are and the airplane is quite happy with that. If for what ever reason I have to go around on a nice day, I am always ready to shove the props forward.............. After landing I push them full forward during either rollout or taxi as a "housecleaning" item in preparation for startup of the next flight. Thanks for the comments. Blue skies........ B
Is that some rasp?
it was cool sounding for about 1 minute..............then it got on my nerves. Wish there could've been a switch to turn the loudness on and off. So........since there was no such switch I had to return the exhaust back to stock.
Nice flight Brett. I still can't believe we have not gone for a bite somewhere with the planes. Don't forget to let me know if you are ever going for a bite so we can meet up. BTW, I noticed you had the in ear headphones on. Which were they. and how did you like them? I am considering buying some.
Very nice video! Liked.
Thank you!
love the coffee holder
Nice machine. hrs on the engs?
Thank you! The engines are about 1/2 way to TBO.
How do you mount your camera? I had mine on the silver speaker cover but found that it vibrated to much on takeoff and initial climb out. I have since moved it but I would like it farther forward.
If I remember correctly, I think the mount is right where the pushbutton is for the light in the ceiling? I will check next time I'm out at the hangar.
Nice Channel. My two mechanical favorites. Cars and Planes!
AWESOME IMC FLYING THERE BRETT AND GREAT LANDING!!!!
+clif tehcta Thanks Clif. It was a fun little flight. I love the opportunity to get out and fly this Baron.
Everyone saw it! No props, no mix! SCARY! I'm a CFII, MEI SES MES So... DO BETTER!
+KING G I don't believe it's scary, but I appreciate your view on the matter and if it is your SOP to put everything full forward on final then that's great. It is our SOP to leave the props at 2500 which is where we climb, cruise and descend these engines at. The airplane has the IO550E 300hp engines with altitude compensating fuel pumps (ACFP) in it. That means that leaning and enrichening the fuel/air ratio is done automatically as you climb or descend via an aneroid in the fuel pumps. We only lean manually at cruise flight to go to a lean of peak mixture setting for efficiency as well as coller CHT's. During climb the ACFP will lean the fuel flows about 1 gallon per thousand feet which keeps the EGT's right around 1300 degrees which is just perfect and keep it on a rich of peak setting during climb.
I know I appreciate u tube experts.....even when they're angry. Thanks for explain'n to KING G the difference between a professional pilots operation of his aircraft to what one CFII MEI might teach a student. By the way that is a sweet ride......I miss my days flying Barons for free. Best camera angle on the tube.
Thank you sir!!! It has been a fantastic airplane.
Recycling Concepts checklist! mix, props! what's wrong with you people! oh yeah, amateurs! it's good to be the KING!
Get a life son....
I have the Aspen also in my 72 177 RG. I think when you talk glass panel the Aspen is the best bang for you buck. Additionally I like having the option for steam gauges as a back up in case of a PFD failure. Beautiful airplane and love the Beach colors in your paint scheme.
+R. Jason Dagenhart Thank you Jason. And I agree with the Aspen. I've come to really enjoy and trust the Aspen PFD.
+Brett Nicolette are you located in North Carolina?
Great flight Brett! I just sold my A36TN and I'm looking to buy a plane like yours. Keep the videos coming. Sure enjoy 'em.
+glwdds Thank you. I appreciate the nice comments. Good luck on your search! The Baron sure is a fun airplane!!
I'm looking at buying a b58, so trying to learn a little from watching your videos. Great job, I too was wondering why you kept adjusting the props, now I know.
+Travis Mish Thanks Travis. The Beech Barons are a grea,t capable airplane. We love flying our 55.
