My first department did not allow any changes to the issued revolver except a grip adapter for those of us w/big hands. That was 1968 and I’ve been using them ever since.
Right on! I watched your original video on this revolver. Agreed, the adaptor is essential to ensure you engage the trigger properly. Especially if you shoot your revolvers double action, which I always, always do. And man, it looks sharp! How to ruin the look of your classic revolver in one easy step?.... put on big aftermarket rubber grips!
Agreed. I have stubby fingers, so many of the Modern grips are too bulky for me. the grip adapters make things just right and i like the Old school look.
Dang. So glad I found this video. There are pretty regular good deals on EBay for these Pachmayr grip adapters and some of the older ones were made by Mershon. Usually well under $40 and many are still in the original cardboard box.
These adapter keep that era look while modernizing the revolver took much. Great video. I put one on a Victory Revolver and helps improve the purchase for sure. Next a Taurus Model 82 with one of these to help as well. 🎩♠️☯️🏁
Like aftermarket parts on a car...it only ever decreases the resale value.
Adding those seat beads for comfort though...always a good idea.
Love it. I got a 10-5 nickle snubby and I’m thinking of putting a Tyler on it.
Mine came today!
💥👊🏼💥
i just purchased a collection of vintage colts. the 1967 2.5" Python had a Pachmayr adaptor on it and I had no clue what it was. Thanks for the info
Congratulations on your purchase! 🤙🏽
@@SapperGentleman thank you sir ✌️
Thumbs up for being a fellow Sapper. Subscribe because I never heard of this grip either!
Essayons, Bro! 💥
.....this is the first I've seen if these Pachmayr Adapters..I'm familiar with the Tyler grips...
Thanks for doing this. I’m looking for one of these, but I may end up settling for a brushed aluminum t-style grip adapter. Just because they’re available and affordable. They might stick out a little bit because of that aluminum surface. But it looks like it will work.
Tyler-T grips are great 👍🏽
Nice. Really nice pistol.
Thank ya!
"Keep them factory original" So how's the bone stock glock? LOL
Keep "classics" original. 😉
My bone stock Glock is great.
I just ordered one of the Pachmayr ones for my stainless L frame . I’m going to cerakote it to a stainless color
Have Tyler t, pachmyer and b and d.
Forces you to take a lower grip… for better or worse
All the ones I get are for Smith & Weson and I have a Ruger Speed Six. I can't get one for him. Where can I buy the pachmayr or from any other manufacturer for my revolver. Any help I will be extremely grateful, thank you very much! E. Silva from Puerto Rico
I have a 10 no dash with Tyler t grip and I’m still not sure I like it
Odd: The top of pointer finger knuckle is still at the top rim of the grip, yet your finger angle is NOT as severe? How is that? The T-grip doesn't effect/affect the placement of your hand when you grip as high as possible on the frame. Teach me, what am I missing? Wahi' Valleys
Addendum: I have the exact same revolver, and I do love it. Wahi' Valleys
I have to think about that grip angle with and without the adaptor. It seems backwards to me. Almost like the angle would be worse.
Nooo. It's a vast improvement.
Tyler t grip absolutely makes you hold lower on the grip… that’s apparently what you’re missing
Nice video but trying to use your "FM" voice is not natural. Talk to me like we're sitting in your living room. But nice review.
That's just the way I talk. 😆
