All these moс dioramas are simply amazingly beautiful. There are no words to convey this. The selection turned out to be a feast for the eyes. I can imagine how long it took. What next moc are you planning to do?
My opinion----> number 19 should be higher. I also saw this one on one of the Brick Vault top10 MOCs and I really like it. It's not too big, pretty simple, the colors are perfect and minifigures have some nice dynamic poses. Really like this one. It gives me Rogue One vibes

Congrats everyone first of all! As for my thoughts on the entries: I'm totally aware judging a contest is insanely difficult at times, but I gotta say I cannot for the love of it see the reason behind some of the placements. 16 & 12 most prominently. 16's concept is nice, however I feel like it's a good example of a lot of "mindless detail". Not meaning it in a bad way at all, I just feel like much of it doesn't serve any purpose and thus feels hella cluttered. 12 once again is great in theory, I just feel like it's an early WIP (don't know if it actually is) because there's so much flat and empty space. There's numerous ways of making sand look more interesting than just plates and it just wasn't done here. I'm torn on 7, which has some insane water effects going on with the different shaded shapes underneath the transparent layer, however the rest of it seems to me like just another good, but not very impressive or innovative SW build. Mostly good stuff overall anyway. Also, congrats on soon to be 70k on that subcount. Keep the ball rolling, Luka - I'm looking forward to what you've got coming in the future.
Yes, it's very difficult to judge all these builds and ESPECIALLY rank them, I wasn't sure if I wanted to even do the rankings this time, instead just show them in random order except the winner. But I still decided to do so because it's a fun for other people to see. I could have spent another 5 hours comparing each build with the others and doing an even better job at the ranking, because I am aware the rankings are not perfect. But these were my thoughts at the time of making the vid. I take many factors in when deciding the general build score, 16 I actually really liked because of the chaos in such a small place, the pictures and action were well done and it had some unique piece usages, yes it's not the cleanest build but it's chaos makes it unique. 12 was impressive with world building, the scale of it cannot go unnoticed and as every build it had some unique moments and details. I actually didn't even notice the shades in the water on the 7th build, I just really liked the huts, the snot, the terrain, stairs and overall composition with the water being bordered and the rest freeform. It's just a very sweet build, but yes lacking another level of detail like more color. But yeah, overall these videos take so long to do, reviewing each entry and ranking them, maybe next time i'll meassage you to help out with the voting ;) Thanks for the comment Jakob!
I know that desert terrain could be done better, but I don't think it looks bad in that case. Desert near Lars farm was flat and stony, so only plates are not out of place at all. Another thing, it's part of much bigger collab, imagine modeling 50 or more baseplates with tiles and slopes. I wanted my part to look good as a standalone moc, but I had to make some compromises. If I could, I would make desert like I did snow in my Hoth diorama, but it's not good for large collab dioramas. I know that desert and some other places could be done better, but the rest was built in highest possible quality. I wanted it to be realistic, like in movie, where Mos Eisley was almost empty, there was space between buildings, and buidings were simple and without much detail. I think I did my best with all that limitations I had
@@Fukusakuu Aye. The collab thing makes it more understandable. Nontheless, personally I feel like it's not quite complete. Then again, different eyes, different interpretation. Might look just fine with the other parts of the collaboration added around it. Keep it up!
