I've been yesterday live in concert in Berlin and I must say, Nils isn't just pausing on his success, no he is much better than before! He uses a water-organ for very relaxing tunes and on the other hand he use hard druming rythm to follow his perfect piano sounds and the echoes of the Roland machines. This time he involves the visitors to produce a special background noise mixing up with the arpegio sounds... I love this music and Nils is a really nice and friendly guy standing with both feet on the ground. So I hope he will stay healthy during the long tour and also will have a big success again in all countries (I'm sure). And please handle your water organ and analogue inszruments with care, really lovely instruments!
I was also at Funkhaus on 24th Sept. and I loved the music, the venue and the general atmosphere of the event. It's amazing to see how much effort Nils puts into playing his music, trying to catch almost maniacally the right sound.
@@04bucmic sampling audience sounds during performance goes back many years, but his implementation of it for Briefly was so beautiful. Were you asked to make noises of a farm or forest at night? Also to OP, you are thinking of a glass harp, not water organ
Simply beautiful. Shaping up for album of the year. The guy is a genius. He is known as one of the greatest modern classical pianists and then releases an album with no piano.
This is simply divine. Loving Nils Frahm and also darker electronica and trip hop acts like Massive Attack, Boards of Canada, Burial, Forest Swords, Unkle, Allflaws

I love that Q-Dance used it as background after the end of each day! It's so chill and relaxing, love it!
Was it the same song last year?
@@ixrum6074 I don't know, I don't recall them even streaming long-enough to hear the song they would have used last year.

Thanks for this lovely 'trailer'! I am catching Nils on this tour next month and this adds to the sweetness of anticipation.

The idea of recording the background noise, I guess Olafur Arnalds made it first :-). I've enjoyed both, pretty amazing.

27 minutes containing exactly 0 new ideas... and still people stand in awe - interesting phenomenon
dont like it? dont listen to it
bless you
the loops get you in a trancey dreamy state, you can go far away into your mind, where the ideas are. the track is just a vessel.
Must be difficult looking for "ideas" in everything.
