Looks a fantastic place to spend a day (or longer) I collect old tools here in the UK. I guess I started collecting tools 54 years ago when I started my carpentry and joinery apprenticeship, it was all hand tools then and I remember buying them from second hand shops and I kept them, thankfully. I finally got a Stanley NO 1, this year and fell in love with a 5'6" coopers jointer plane and I just had to have that too. thanks for the video

Wood and Shop If I end up staying here for an extended period I may just do that. Truthfully, you'd have to raise awareness about wood working as a hobby first as it's not as big a thing in Puerto Rico as it is in the US.
Kevin Woolgar Yup, every tool organization started with one person. I'm sure you could get people excited about traditional woodworking. San Juan has beautiful architecture, so I'm sure there are a lot of people who would get interested in historical woodworking. Just spread my website around and get people excited...have some woodworking nights!
Hey Josh, I just found your site this morning and what a great find its been. Im from Asheville NC but currently live outside of Knoxville Tn. As I was watching this video I was trying to determine where this swap meet was being held. Looking at the surrounding area and trees I would venture to guess its in the Charlotte area. Would that be correct? Ive been woodworking most of my life in one aspect or another but in the past year or so have been turning my attention to hand tools more and more. I much prefer using hand tools to machines because you get a better feel for the wood and can better expound on its attributes than you can from modern techniques. I would like to thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge. I havent subscribed to your site as of yet but as soon as I press enter on this comment, I WILL!!! Again, thanks so much for sharing.
Absolutely wonderful useful handtools to build wonderful things in wood. 100 years in action and ready to work now. Not like the China plastic crap nowadays. If i where a millionaire i would buy no diamonds or cars, i would buy this stuff
