Lawless is a spectacular story. I missed the boat not seeing this sooner. I would urge anyone who likes good story telling and great acting to see this wonderful film.

If you have not seen this movie I highly suggest it. It's a great story. Franklin and Floyd counties were overflowing with bootleg booze back in the day and today there are still some good liquor recipes to come from there, and even a taste from there I'm sure too !

Henry Abshire wasn't killed transporting a prisoner to Floyd County. He died of old age, 88 years old in 1958. He was my grandfather. Jeff Richards was the deputy killed in the ambush.

Yes, it is inside a furniture warehouse. The owner won't even let the Historical Society come in and take 1 board off of the building.
