    The Rockets are low key stacked 1-10. If Whitmore gets it together defensively he could be an all-star on a team like the Nets. Instead he's instant offense off the bench.
    I haven't been as excited about this team since the 2000s.

    I hope they keep Amen Cam and JG4 because you it’s hard to find players like that.
    And hopefully Reed Shepard but that’s a lot to ask!

    Neither Amen or Sheppard are specialist point guards, and that’s when Steven Adams “get the f*ck off my point guard” screens come into effect when we’re bringing the ball up the court. Adams is also a great screener for Amens drives to the basket. I noticed during summer league, Shep was sometimes a plodder on offence with the ball, he likes to slow it down and can deliberate a bit too much. When you play like that it can be hard to go on fast runs and rack up the points quickly. Adams is or was a plodder too, so hopefully those two don’t dictate the pace too much. Amen is a great option for a point guard who’ll let the ball fly and works well when offence is more chaotic. So two options, fast or slow.

      lol have you seen Adams recently play with Ja Morant and the Grizzlies….um Adams effects a game in so many ways and has shown many skillsets that have allowed many a point god to play with pace and ferocity …so a plodder….maybe have another think about that…😂😅

      @whk3120 Месяц назад

      @@eyestamihana2114 you don’t get it, I’m talking about his one on one offensive skills, that’s when the ball stalls, but, when they use his screening and feeding skills he’s brilliant. I’m excited for him though, in my opinion he’s never had an intelligent coach but I really rate Udoka and if he concentrates on upping Adams attacking skills, we’ll, the first unit better watch out for the 2nd unit.

    • @eyestamihana2114
      @eyestamihana2114 Месяц назад

      @@whk3120 some great points there for sure💯!! I don’t think he has had a coach that has wanted to unlock his full offensive potential, however for a while at OKC we got to see glimpses of what he could do, but with that in mind he has made the most of the schemes and Teams he has played with, being instrumental in the Teams success! For sure can’t wait to see what this season brings and must admit it’s going to be an adjustment watching him play bench minutes unless of course they decide to move Sengun to 4 and let Adams play crucial minutes as a starter…and he is a starting calibre player no doubt!! If all the Rockets want to do is keep him at the 2nd unit the wouldnt mind seeing him traded to somewhere like the Lakers where he could start and where he is well respected by their Head Coach and the players there…

    • @whk3120
      @whk3120 Месяц назад

      @@eyestamihana2114 nah, never rated Scotty Brooks, Adams did have potential in the beginning but they decided they wanted him to only be a role player. And that became the role he was stuck in all these years. I think it will depend who the rockets play, if it’s a big centre, they’ll start Adams, if it’s a smaller one, they’ll start Sengun, so really it doesn’t bother me that much. Yeah, I know Le Bron and AD would love someone else banging in the middle and they get to play against smaller opponents. Especially at their age. He deserves a high payout, he’s sacrificed all these years for the betterment of his teams.

    I would say that at least half the league has a better starting 5 than the Rockets (we're still waiting on Jalen and Jabari to hit a potential and consistency, and the other 3 three have well noted flaws) but very few teams have a better 2nd unit.

    I love your line up!!!! I would have that one too !!! Only problem i have is Amen is not a shooter and having him in the shooters spot is not ideal!!!! Reed is a natural point so you dont want him there!!! And Cam is a better 3 so thats the conundrum

    • @ChampionTalk313
      @ChampionTalk313  Месяц назад +1

      i feel you!! in this lineup i think it would be best if amen is the primary ball handler, since reed is used to playing without the basketball! it’ll be nice if amen has improved his 3 ball just a little bit

      @@ChampionTalk313 Reed and amen is a good combo guard duo u right, both being able to play facilitate , one being a knockdown shooter and the other being a lockdown defender. Fits perfectly with cam whitmore if cam develops into a bucket. Not to mention senguin being second to embiid in big man footwork imo. Jabari smith develops? Evan Mobley with a shot. This team in 2-3 years? We eatin

    I just don't see how Brooks is going to beat out Amen for that starting three position.
    I get that Ime Udoka loves Brooks, but he also loves Thompson,
    so I can see the change happening next year.

      @trentbayon9039 Месяц назад

      Trade Sengun? A 22 year old who was almost an all star last year? Who loves the game and only cares about getting better, took massive steps forward defensively last season and has only just gotten started. Glad you are stuck behind the keyboard and no where near the Rockets front office.

    • @TrePrince
      @TrePrince Месяц назад

      @trentbayon9039 You realize that's the stance of the Rocket execs? 😂 They subsequently have been shopping him around. I love seng and have been following his game since a rookie. He's mini Jokic. The Rockets want to be true contenders and likely won't be with senguin, which is the problem. They also will have to pay him a maximum next year. It's the smart thing to do while he has extreme value.

    I personally would start:
    VanVleet
    Jalen
    Amen
    Bari
    Sengun
    You have good mix of rebounding offense and defense.
    2nd unit:
    Reed
    Holiday
    Cam
    Tari
    Adams
    3rd/ spot minutes:
    AJ Griff
    Uncle Jeff
    Hungry Jack
    Dante
    Landale
