Hakeem Olajuwon: perfect blend of power and finesse.
The best C of all time 🔥
I say the greatest player of all time
My personal favorite player of all time. He made his first trip to the Finals in 1986 and if Ralph Sampson didn't get hurt they could've won more.
Lewis Lloyd and Mitch Wiggins had drug problems too
Best center of all time.
Absolutely
Love seeing the old clips of young Olajuwon.
Dominating the NBA universe
This is the best Olajwuon mix I've seen without a soundtrack......Good job!
Olajuwon was the most complete Center of all time. The best foot work ever seen, the likes of the great Kobe Bryant, Lebron, D. Howard, Stoudemire all flew down to train and learn from him. Greatest defender of all time can truly guard 1-5. To this day he’s underrated, the era that the Dream played in was the toughest for centers. He dominated hall of fame centers and won back to back during that time. the true GOAT of centers🤌
Id choose hakeem over shaq on a dream team.
No one's gonna fault you on that.
That man DR34M smoove as a guard, defensive GOAT and best 2 way player wit MJ I ever got to see play
people say basketball has advanced but i have to see a big man this skilled. no one comes close on the block. dude had a counter for every move. you could not guard him.
I can’t lie I can’t complain we picked Dream over Jordan even Jerry Krause said they would’ve picked him if he was available
What if the rockets picked Jordan and not Olajuwon, what would of happen?
@@hectorlopez1069 he probably wouldn’t have stayed here for his whole career.
The best player in the history of the Houston Rockets. Rockets are so lucky to draft him in 1984.
#1 The Dream Shake
The dream was a real beast
Thank you for posting all of these videos. I love my Houston Rockets!!
Lots of great plays, but a missed opportunity to show more footage we haven't seen before or might have seen like the infamous dunk on Ewing in 1991 at the garden, the putback over Robinson in 92-93, the first quadruple double against the Warriors in 1990 before it was taken away etc etc.
Best Big Man Era, Hakeem, Robinson, Ewing, Arvydas, and Hakeem straight up toying with them
He can score lots of points by himself. He did it everything. What a basketball player to be one of the greats.
Before he developed all the moves Akeem was an athletic freak! Just slamming over the opposing centers.
He was the man that can block lots of shots in every game. What an outstanding player.
What was my man #32 on the wolves at 3:09 thinking lolol
His rookie cards just keep rising in price. Im going to invest..The dream was a beast.
Nobody wants to guard him. He can't be stopped.
I do miss Bill Worrell. Iconic
I like him playing basketball. He can make his opponents look really bad. What a great player.
Hakeem playing in BEAST mode!
12:55 that bench reaction always gets to me.
Well belated Houston.
Needs more Dream Shake.
Greatness
this song fire
Goat
This is why he was ranked a top 12 player via ESPN. People ask if the Rockets should have drafted Jordan instead and I disagree. 2 championships and a alltime great. Not to mention why he means to the city.
Yeah he was the most skilled big man of all time and also the best defensive player ever. There's no way you would draft anyone else back then. No one could've predicted Jordan killer instinct at that early an age.
Ranking Olajuwon 12 is criminal, Olajuwon dominated everybody including going 11-5 against Jordan for 9 seasons. Olajuwon is the goat
Placing Hakeem at #12 was a bit insulting I thought. It makes no sense.
. ESPN should of took into account the fact that Hakeem became the best player in the NBA during MJ's short baseball career. Winning two rings,MVP and Finals MVP. One could argue that Hakeem was the 2nd best player in the NBA during the Jordan era.
Most people consider MJ to be the undisputed GREATEST OF ALL TIME. If this is true. How can Hakeem be #12 of all time? He was the 2md best player during the MJ era. the guy should of been in the top 5. Definitely top 10
@@noshowjoe6596 I got Hakeem at around #7 after MJ, LeBron, Kareem, Bird, Magic, and Kobe.
@@MistaWordz Olajuwon owned Jordan, dominated Kareem, Lebron isn't even a top 10 player, and Kobe is probably #7 in my book
This is the #DreamWeek
Hakeem Olajuwon
The Dream
is the real numbaone
If the Rockets would have taken Clyde Drexler instead of Rodney McCray Ralph Sampson would have stayed injury-free and they would have 15 chips
Idk about 15, but definitely at least 6; and close to 11 if not 11.
Olajuwon's best three pointers?
0:17 Akeem Olajowon 😂😂😂
Hahaha...
I don't get it
His birth name was Akeem. He converted to Islam later in his career and chose to add the H. Ironically, the only typo here is your misspelling of Olajuwon lol.
@@kurtwashere he never converted he was born muslim his parents were muslim from Nigeria 🇳🇬
He just corrected the way they spell his name to Hakeem which means the wise man in arabic
@@ahmedaljubali1026 Yeah I think he got the story confused with kareem who converted during his career. The original commenter a fool though
