    One of the completely stupidest (in an absurdly good way) stats I've ever seen: If you took away every hit, HBP, fielder's choice, or error that Bonds reached base on in 2004...if it was JUST his walks, his OBP would still have been .376. Or 35th OVERALL in baseball. Just on walks. HE BROKE THE GAME.

    F the haters. This dude blasted bombs off dudes just as juiced as him. The sport collectively bargained and agreed to no testing and lived by it. If you weren't juiced good for you, but to hate on people that played according the the ethics of their era is foolish. Barry was the best.

      @@farpointgamingdirect No not at all. That's backwards from what I'm saying. I'm saying context matters and I don't judge Babe Ruth for not being able to play against black players or for Hank Aaron using amphetamines... because that was the era in which they played.

    All the haters need to take a seat. The fact is Bonds, Sosa, McGwire, Clemens, Palmeiro, and Canseco played in an era which embraced steroids. The only reason these players were targets at all is because they were the big dogs. Bonds in particular was simply incredible and the MLB HOF is a sham.

    • @ItsAlwaysRusty
      @ItsAlwaysRusty 2 года назад

      Yes the HOF is a sham. They have too many in it already. Bill Mazeroski a nice guy but HOF , nope.. Harold Baines. God no. Any DH nope.. Think Henry Aaron, Babe Ruth, Gehrig. Rose will only get in after he passes. That way he won't make money on it.

    Bonds had great hand eye coordination, plus one of the quickest batting strokes, I mean the bat speed he generated was incredible. He is one of the few batters who could get around on high fastballs that were out of the strike zone. On that last one, he hit the high fastball to the opposite field! What is funny about this, is that some of these pitchers do not even turn around, they know its gone.
