Hey everyone, I'd like you to check out my most popular video "Eight Knots Everyone Should Know." Please click on the link and I'll see you there ruclips.net/video/Q9ruvjEDvTg/видео.html

Thank you for explaining the distinction between the two. I have just started reading, "The Ashley Book of Knots" and last night he pictures both the Slip and Noose Knots and I thought, they are the same. Then today, I happen upon your video. I so appreciate you giving context for a knot and it's usage. Anyone can tie a knot but the real learning is in context and what knot to use for a specific situation and you Mr. Jason excel in showing context. Thank you again.

Thanks. I try to put some context into the videos. The Slip vs Noose is especially a common mistake. I think a lot of the time it's because knot work is usually handed down knowledge and so it's easy for a colloquial term like "slip" to be used to describe the action but might not be the actual technical term.

Fascinating. I crochet and we use noose knots to start, but call them slip knots. 👀

I just bought a new inflatable dinghy. The painter line tied to the bow D-ring that came with it was tied with a Noose knot. I was thinking of going with a bowline, or anchor knot. I think I will stick with the Noose, it is tidy and does not use much line )since the painter line is already short to avoid propeller tangles); much shorter and a crowded dinghy dock is hard with short line. The line is the special floating line and I want to stay with it, the line is approx 1/2 inch dia. and the Noose with a 3 inch tag end seems to hold really well to the small D ring. I figure since it came that way from the factory, it is a good knot for intended use.

When I pull the noose right the tag end slips out. I'm using Paracord and it is a little slick. Is there a better knot to use?

95 percent of people call overhand noose a slipknot. Overhand noose doesn't sound as cool as slipknot though, lol

one needs to bear in mind not to use a slip knot for hanging themselves, chances are all they would face would be yet another disappointment

Correction I said even on apparently innocent videos such as yours, those of us who have been able to open our third eye, have to see this stuff. Right away gives me the heebie-jeebies. Try adjusting your color contrast and or brightness and saturation levels on future videos. If it was much darker, these images wouldn't be visible.

If you teach the hang mans noose plz make a notice so that people wont abuse the use of it like suicide etc

On my other channel I avoided that one. It's weird because truthfully a person could do self harm with any number of knots but still I'd hate to feel like I contributed to something terrible.

The history of christianity says that " instead of being forced to worship other gods " christianitys early saints. Choose suicide as a rational alternative.
And many early christians did gloriously righteously commit suicide so they would not be defiled that way.
You know what ? All of christianity teaches humanity that those saints who did commit suicide that way are renowned in christs heavens as being gloriously righteous for killing themselves that way
      For christ.

You got to really love the creepy images of girls faces in the background of this video. Does anyone else see them or am I losing my mind.? I think not. I think Satan and his minions love to do backmasking back in the days filthy images they put into backdrops of movies and videos is absolutely appalling. Even on apparently such as this one. Not necessarily saying that you are a willing participant Jason, but did you notice what I am talking about? Between you and me I wish you the best in your quest for a successful channel.
