Is it permissibile to use products that contain glycerine? E.g) Shampoos, Gels, toothpaste, creams, ointments etc. Glycerine is derived from many sources with some being derived from animals (cows, pigs etc). Wouldn't animal fat that transforms into glycerine come under the ruling of Istihalaah? As glycerine no longer has the physical or chemical characteristics of the original animal fat? Moreover, it goes through strict industrial processing.

Another good point raised by the Sheikh on polygyny. The topic is trending in the ummah but the approach is completely wrong as it's being romanticised in an attempt to counter liberalism & not within its own Islamic context. Our young brothers salivate at the thought without grasping the immense responsibility of it. We live in societies where extended families are no longer directly involved in rearing kids so juggling 2 families especially in the west brings a lot of aspects that require careful introspection.
I get what you're saying but why has there been an erosion of the involvement of extended families? Is it not the corrosiveness of liberalism and feminism at play? It's mostly more of standing one's ground and destigmatizating a halal aspect that actually has been effectively made haram not only in the West, but Muslim countries too.
People are leaving marriage altogether in droves, let alone actualize polygyny. A lot of the same brothers would snap your hand off if it meant a guarantee at having a pious wife I would wager. I have a question and a request for Sheikh Uthman. My request is if he could do a video series on the attributes of Allah SWT and how to properly understand them. My question is that atheists claim that there's no evidence for God in the physical universal. According to my knowledge this makes perfect sense because the Throne is on the 7th heaven (the lowest of which is the boundary of creation), and Allah SWT is separate from His creation, so it would make sense (and would indeed prove Islam to be true) that we wouldn't find any evidence for Him in the natural world (aside from the signs but the atheists don't count those). Is this correct? Can we make the claim that Allah SWT doesn't exist in His creation so obviously there wouldn't be any evidence for Him being there? Also, I've always thought that the meaning of the hadith where it says that Allah SWT descends to the lowest heaven at tahajjud is that He doesn't cross the boundary and doesn't actually enter into creation. How did he find the right teachers and how can we follow in his footsteps (as youth brought up in the West) to study Quran and Sunnah in programs overseas? How expensive can the endeavor become?

Once in school, we were having conversation on war, being polite etc. Our teacher had told us. "A man is immoral if 1. He does not hate the oppressor. 2. He does not rejoice at the death of tyrant 3. He does not get angry when expletives are hurled toward him or his family or religion 4. He does not pick a stone and hit the mad dog trying to bite a child 5. He does not kill the snake that enters his house and may harm his family. And the oppressor and tyrants are immoral." And just a day ago I watched a video a guy (though he was using curse words) said "if you tolerate everything, you stand for nothing."
Question for sheikh: What are your thoughts on how much the mahr should be? The way I see it, it is a cost of marriage and intimacy. If it is too high it makes haram more attractive but if it is too low, women aren't being given their right.

Asalamu alaikum, Please please please ask him how he managed to continue studying while taking care of his family (in the context of travelling abroad to study under scholars); did he have options besides studying in Pakistan? How did he start learning Quranic Arabic in his early 20s? How did he progress through Quranic grammar and how long did it take him to become proficient enough to start studying on his own? How did he find the right teachers and how can we follow in his footsteps (as youth brought up in the West) to study Quran and Sunnah in programs overseas? How expensive can the endeavor become?

BarakAllahfeek ya Sheikh alot of "Dawah" is so far away from Ahl Al Sunnah because they not even students of knowledge
Once in school, we were having conversation on war, being polite etc.
Our teacher had told us.
"A man is immoral if 1. He does not hate the oppressor. 2. He does not rejoice at the death of tyrant 3. He does not get angry when expletives are hurled toward him or his family or religion 4. He does not pick a stone and hit the mad dog trying to bite a child 5. He does not kill the snake that enters his house and may harm his family.
And the oppressor and tyrants are immoral."
And just a day ago I watched a video a guy (though he was using curse words) said "if you tolerate everything, you stand for nothing."
Question for sheikh: What are your thoughts on how much the mahr should be? The way I see it, it is a cost of marriage and intimacy. If it is too high it makes haram more attractive but if it is too low, women aren't being given their right.
