Tip: Haggling with buyers gives you less fame in the long run than you could get without it (haggling with sellers doesn't) Edit: Tip 2: You can sell useless (and useful) potions to merchants, which all have a the same price but are affected by haggling

@@musicsheep9816 Trying to optimize paths with a given set of ingredients, which I tend to miscalculate, especially with long paths for advanced potions. Given unlimited ingredients it's easy to eventually get the effects for a complex potion, but making it without wasting ingredients from under/overshooting the mark or misjudging what ingredients would best create the needed path is much less easy.
