The glyphs tab is available in Designer Edition and above. Here is a comparison chart for all the different versions of Silhouette Studio software upgrades. www.littlegraysquirrel.com/silhouette-studio-software-comparison-chart/ In the free version you can use the Character map on a PC or Font Book on a Mac.
If I understand correctly, after you paste the glyph into your silhouette screen you see rectangles? Select the rectangles, go to your text style tab and select the font you are wanting to use. Let me know if that helps or if you need more help.
Unfortunately Word wasn’t included with my computer so I don’t use it anymore but thank you for sharing. It is good for people to know different ways to use glyphs.
Great question! I just looked through the glyphs and didn’t see a heart by itself. I would probably use the o or v with the heart (they seem to have the longest, most symmetrical swash on the letter side) and cut the letter off with the knife tool.
I don't use an android phone and I don't use fonts on my iPhone but I believe the best way would be to use an online font manager like Fontcloud. You should be able to download a font to your device, unzip it, and upload it to Fontcloud from your Android device. Then you can type your text and add glyphs then take a screen shot of your text and use it in your design program like Cricut. You get 2GB of space on Fontcloud for free and you can get an extra 500MB space if you use my affiliate link: fontcloud.creativefabrica.com/ref/52410/
Thank you! Very helpful. I've been intimidated by glyphs, but now I feel more confident.
Thank you so much for your comment! I am so glad it was helpful.
The Glyphs tab is not available in my free version. It’s probably only available in the Business edition.

Can you add a heart on its own with no attached letters using this font
