    They were originally, from the beginning actually from the outback communities in Australia. Farmers would sell them from offcuts of left over sheepskin. They had little stores on the side of the road, and due to the freezing cold weather in rural victoria and nsw, the uggs became popular. Uggs meaning, ugly boots. Australian slang shortens everything. They wernt a brand though. You could also get things like car seatbelt covers, and stuff. This was common to purchase on road trips. Then an australian guy brought them over to the us to sell, and californians liked them, because who wouldn't? But this design is through and through, is from the Australian farming community :)

    I have had the Tasman clears for about a year now. I love them. They so cute and comfortable. I bought them at Nordstrom. I purchased the last size 9. Typically, I wear a size 8.
