- Earlier this year during CES Samsung unveiled a good looking, portable projector called Freestyle. With all the marketing videos and first looks I was super excited to check it out! It looked like it could be a perfect tool to take on a trip (camping in particular), since it can also be powered from a battery. Once we received it though, I must say I have mixed feelings. Let's check it out!

I bought this projector 1 month ago. Even after lots of hesitation due to reviews. Maybe for me as an amateur of projector and only looking for simplicity, this is I consider as a good buy because I got what I need. Portable, I can use it everywhere anywhere and simple set up. I admitted the price is kind of expensive but at least it works.
Thank you! I needed this content to reaffirm myself not to give this a buy. I've heard similar reviews on other pages but this review was concise. I'll end up sticking to my TV for now but there's potential in the Freestyle for the future.

its not as simple as that. Depends on the room lighting/projection surface/distance and so on.

it is true that the projector is not very good during the day time. the image looks washed out. my aaxa p7 is also portable with battery, small and 1080p native, but the image is much better and brighter.

I agree this projector is cool and innovative, but the performance/ quality of this projector is not satisfying...I own Freestyle and XGIMI MoGo Pro, I think MoGo Pro perform better compare to the Freestyle..
Yes definitely flawed. I own one and i find it extremely versatile but am primarily using it as a secondary device for meetings and portability options. Extremely handy, light packaging for on the go work
sure the design is cool, but when you compare it with mogo pro from xgimi, you will know it just a toy rathen than a projector😂
Mogo is overpriced and underwhelming.
