After five long years of following Baum Guitars online, I’m finally here at Guitar Summit to get my hands on their Wingman model.
Now, I’m not one for gushing, but there’s something special about seeing craftsmanship like this up close.
Baum has a knack for creating guitars that are both familiar and refreshingly different. Join me as I check out their latest models, chat to Jeppe about their process, and give the Wingman a proper go. It’s about time!
Thanks to the sponsors of my Guitar Summit trip.
Visit them and show them some love.

Legit one of the most beautiful "new" shapes in a long time.
This dude understood the assignment. Big reason I like your channel is for the humor behind the useful information. Happy that the dude from Baum was able to join in on the fun. Cheers from the states Andy
Watching Andy's face light up at the end was worth the whole video. ❤
Thanks Sam. It was a wonderful moment
@@TheGuitarGeek , we've all had those moments. And it's always great to play a guitar with that much joy.
I was shaking as well.
His face said it all.
Can't wait for mine.
I recently got a Baum Carve and is legit my favorite guitar now and now I really want a wingman to go with it.
Anyone else feel like Andy was vibrating while he waited for The Guitar?
I could hear the buzz and hum. I thought it was the lights
I felt it all the way down here in south east of France.
@@TheGuitarGeek Palm's Sweaty, Hair Spaghetti! 😂👌
(Joke, I also have curly hair!)
@@Bast6 I'm in the Pacific Northwest. My teeth almost started itching.
I would have been here for a 6-part series where they show him everything except the Wingman....I fear that Andy's head would explode though! Glad you finally got your hands on it, that is a beautiful guitar!
😂😂😂
It really is
These guitars look lovely...even the bass!
It sounds amazing!
I dig the new Baum acoustic guitars. They have sort of an understated coolness to them in my opinion.
I use the middle pickup
I've been looking at their Backwing for a hot minute. I want something with mini-buckers, and as soon as I have the funds together it's mine.
Oh my, it's beautiful... and it sounds so lovely!
Never looked at a RUclips video's playhead with so much anxiety in my whole life. The video was about to end and no wingman but I REFUSED to skip or to peep ahead.
The thrills of the trade. Well played.
nice to see the owner of Baum just standing in the background during playtime:) Morten is a skilled man !
WOW !!! What a great sounding and looking guitar. Love the white and gold.Never heard of this brand before. I will definitely take a look at this guitar. Thanks Andy.🎸🤘🏻
Can't wait to get my Celestor next month!
Andy, I hope you take that home with you, so we can see it in more future videos! That guitar is stunningly beautiful, and sounds amazing! Good work Baum Guitars!
You guys had great comedic chemistry. Great interview/ showcase
Flippin' 'eck those are stunning
That was awesome!! The banter made me laugh so hard!! Love the content!! Made me want a Baum guitar!!
Andy - Any chance of an interview with Morten? It would be great to hear the history of the company and his design philosophy.
I enjoyed the build up of this video!
I really liked the Baum guitars when I visited their booth. My favorite was the Backwing! Cheers
I'm with Andy, that Wingman is just stunning!
Sounded worth the wait!
Bugger. I was in Aarhus a few years back, wish I’d known about these guitars then as I would’ve popped by. I had money to spend back in the those days.
I have one of those handmade Baum's that Morten made before the production guitars (a leaper tone) and it's SO good. A flat D shaped neck that just fits me like a glove, and I've basically stopped playing my other guitars. I haven't got my hands on the production guitars yet (I know the neck profile is changed from mine) really interested to try some of the production guitars.
Wham bam thank you Baum.
Sweet! The one you played is the Indonesia model yes?
I enjoyed your Wingman Vega review and it pushed me, more like shoved me, to order a wingman Vega in gold that has been delivered, almost a year later, yesterday! I’ll be able to open the box today! Excitement abounds!
Lovely looking guitar!
it truly is!
I didn't see that white Leaper Tone at Summit, that thing is GORGEOUS!
Just received my white Wingman. Nothing disappointing about it, nothing. For me the neck is so comfortable and smooth. They do set it up in Denmark quite well but, I will have my guitar guy set it up with 9 Gauge. Feels like 10 or 11 gauge delivered and still plays awesome for me. Still a bit of room to lower the strings more. Then, it will really sizzle for me. Awesome guitar.
A white and gold Celestor and Wingman is a perfect combination of guitars.
Sounds beautiful. Say no more.
No more
These guitars always give me the GAS shivers. Totally empathise with what you had to go through here, Andy!
😂😂😂 Oh my, you have me laughing so hard! 😂😂😂 Thanks for showing us the 7 year old Andy...
I think he was waiting for you to say PLEASE.😅
Hahahah PLEEEEEASE JEPPE!!!!
Awesome!!! Loved it. Please tell me you bought it...
Andy, a few weeks ago you showed your video cart….and I had to wait till today to see again in the final shot, …thank goodness it wasn’t 5 years, cheers…oh guitar was ok.
Andy was last seen..... In exactly the same position, with the same guitar 3 days later!
awesooooome, I'm so so keen to try one myself. This guitar fair was just too far away for me, hopefully Baum will come to the Dutch guitar gatherings
Would love to come!
Oorhüs? In the middle of Oor street?
Wingman does sound better than St. Vincent. The guy looking at the camera man at the end 🤣
somebody looks happy with his new toy 🙂
I must be alone as I use the middle pickup all the time 😹
I andy great video as usual have you heard of the tigma guitar apparently there in Brazil and have a range of cool guitars sounds like a bit like harley benton looks like they have some decent stuff at reasonable price tags
Also known as Harry Kane’s twin brother.
Man I hope that was recorded direct.
Very cool! Plus they're Danish, which makes it that much cooler. I wish I could find specs on their guitars on their website. I'd really like to know the neck shapes at least.
👌🏻👍🏻
That Wingman sound quite nice. I can understand you wanting to play it. The question is, do you now own a Wingman?
I'm gassing for that bass! Bassing?
I will take Bassing!
Still one of the sexiest offsets out there ❤
Well, did you take it home?!
Finally.
Yeah! it has been a while
Drop the Baum!
hahahah oh i like that
I get 3 per minute on Facebook!
Auhus ...In the middle of our street .
Northern much?
@@NeungView Madness much
Andy, did you ended up buy one or they gifted it to you? I hope so
Great and sexy looking guitar
Even im not a fan of bigsby, thats the one for me too)
Made in Indonesia yet indonesian haven't got to access it PLEASE BAUM
Looks like there was a horrible car crash where a Gretsch G6620 smashed into a Fender Jazz Master and came up with a third gorgeous guitar
So, did you buy one or not?
That was weird .
Those guitars would be awesome if they were set neck or through neck. Not a fan of bolt on necks.
Sooo revival is basically refurbished?
I think you just sold a bunch of guitars for them.
I don't think it's worth $3,500. It's a pretty guitar but price point is important.
1600 eur
I dont understand how you havent done a review of TwoNotes Genome when you own it?
It comes with all TN hardware, old or new.
That definitely wasn't not fun
If someone wants to make a real guitar revolution -= ffs make a balanced output guitar that wont pick up all the noise. The coils are balanced and then we ground ref them and add all that awful noise. Most people are using amp sims these days, theres no reason to keep them purely for driving oldschool amps.
I hear you! From a signal chain standpoint, the way it's done is probably the worst way imaginable. That it has not been changed 50 years ago is beyond me.
@@NeungView Imagine just not worrying if you need a 100 foot guitar cable - its fine! Could even run phantom up it for actives if you wanted. Never worry about a battery.
Or if we're doing it properly - make a new 9v balanced standard for guitars? Maybe lets have a locking connector like a PowerCon while we're at it eh? XD
No reason you couldnt have a bal-un on the other end if you wanted to run an oldschool amp or pedal chain.
Engineer can dream eh? XD
Very beautifull guitar bur very dissapointing sound coming out of it.
You Gotta remember that this is shot at trade fair. I wasn’t using my gear and I have no way of properly monitoring the sound.
Any time I'm paying over 1500 dollars for a guitar, it ain't going to be on a no name brand..
Why?
I wouldn’t consider Baum a no name brand…. I Have a Celestor and it’s miles beyond high end Fenders and other brands. It has relegated my Gibson (and the rest of my collection) to being just pretty wall decorations….
When you look at the quality, build, set up and materials, a it’s so far beyond what the major builders offer at that price point, that it makes one realize just how much of a premium we are charged for a big name.
You can pay for the name or you can pay for the quality. It’s your choice.
@@FluffyDog303 Thanks for the kind words here!
Constantly peeping the background to see if I can spot a C59 🥲🥲
