I like how he pointed out that people should cut the bs and just play both games... I love Genshin.. I've been playing since day 1.. And Wuthering Waves has also been great for the almost 2 weeks it has been out and I'm absolutely loving it.
If hoyo didn't constantly make terrible decisions such as NERFING CLORINDE BEFORE SHE EVEN CANE OUT and not give 1 an explanation or 2 compensation, I would feel comfortable playing genshin and try to have fun with the game
Genshin will never die but Wuthering has a very good chance of stealing all the older/non-casual players but tbh anyone who has played genshin impact is still gonna log in and do their stuff, its how gachas work so I don't understand the whole point of the gacha war other than youtubers to farm content.

@@jasperreyes5174 it doesnt matter. You can delay their salary but if the lack of devs lead to game tanking you are -100% investment. That is a risk that no manager with a brain will take.

I can understand why Tectone is trying to give Saintontas the benefit of the doubt about being purely speculative, but it was such a bad faith video, he was stating objective facts and then using those to suggest that his speculation was also fact, as well has using such a confident tone to present it as fact

I like alot of gacha games, Nikke WuWa, BD2, SBCZ, SLA, hyped for ZZZ but for someone like me a random civ lookin in (I Literally searched for a guide for WuWa and Tectone came up as top result with this drama😆 what am I really to believe?
There are a bunch of good reads in this game, some good acting. There are a lot more bad ones though, and maining Encore since getting her on the first discount banner it's hard to get past some of the lines where she's struggling to supress her accent. I can only put it to the director/direction being unfocused.
So let me get this straight (even though I didn't think the Photo at the MiHoyo office was anything near a proof of anything). On the one hand Genshin Players want improvements to their beloved game, but on the other hand (even though this is just hypothetical) they don't wanna see MiHoyo staff playing other games?
Well this may shock someone now, but thats how this Industry works. You play your competitors games to see what they are doin succsessfull and try to Improve upon it in your product.
Strange for sure but that's how Industry Competition works if you have competitors tryin to invade your buisness market.
I think many players in both communitys should take a class or two in business if this bothers them so much. Otherwise just play the fing game you like and stop spitting bs on the internet :)

The one thing ive noticed about wuthering waves is that the male VAs are WAY better then the female VAs in quality in the english version and it only evens out in the middle and end game.
On an unrelated note i want Yinlin to choke me and also her English VA is really good.

Hmm... as a global player I'm trying to learn and hear what you are talking about the "bad" voice acting. Maybe I didn't experienced it becouse I choose the male Rover or I'm not that good in hearing these kinde of things. But to me the story mistakes was more bothering. 🤷♀️
I'm sure they can fix some voice lines but fixing an already lounced story is a bigger problem I think. But we will see. 😉

I genuinely enjoy how scuffed the dub is. I am not defending it, by any means. It is BAD. Despite how bad it is, however, in the beginning when Yangyang dry heaved instead of being able to say Jue, I laughed SO damn hard and decided then and there that I loved the game. I went in wanting to hate it, I don't like gatcha. I spent years talking down Genshin. This game, I have spent some money on, and it was all because of scuffed VA. It needs to get better, but I lament it getting better.
One of the issues I have with WuWa is the bgm. Manifesting they’ll release new regions with better music. For now I’m fine enjoying the stuff we can do in-game
The problem with Saint’s theorys is there is no concrete evidence to support his claims only some very loosely related items from other situations
EN dub is bad unfortunately, because it sounds like raw studio audio, you can hear the mics pop which makes for a rough listening experience. Also the fact that the dialog in EN sounds monotone, the other languages are fine
I heard what seems to be a few Ai or Edited in audio clips to fix mispronounced phrases, it was very cringe.
I'm not gonna blame the VAs cuz idk the situation but damn 😂
Wish they actually went with English accents for the characters
Would be a nice change up from most gacha games that have characters with american accents, it would help set WuWa apart from its competition further
English VAs would probably be more comfortable speaking in their own accent (they can still do american accents super well tbf, but it does slip through for some characters)

I think they swapped the voice actors because maybe they have a different character design in mind for them in the future. Skyler could have another role in this game maybe with a character better suited for her. This stuff happens.

It's a preference difference. I don't think it's right to say one is "better" than the other. Both games feature parts of what they do that is better than the other. Genshin is obviously fishing for a larger more diverse audience and has catered its game to that audience. I belong to Facebook groups that have nothing to do with Genshin that have reactions to Genshins. Wuwa is going for the sweaty grinding gamers. (Who will get just as bored with Wuwa as they do every other game). The problem is these Gacha games are not designed to be played fir 5 to 6 hours at a time every day. You will run out of content and will do it quickly if you are consuming these games at this pace. Anyhow. I play both. So far I prefer Genshin. I'm way more excited for 4.7 4.8 and 5.0 than I am 1.1 and 1.2. But that's not dissing on Wuwa. Genshin just appeals to me more. It hits my interest. I felt the same about HSR. The space/future/dystopia setting just doesn't interest me. The combat is fun and yes all the rewards have made it harder to walk away from Wuwa. But the echo system and farming might do me in. But for now I'm still playing. Union rank 29. Echo level 14. So I haven't even actually got to the Echo grinding yet other than Leveling up.
Disagree because genshin artifact grind is way much boaring and stamina consuming , so In my case I will prefer Wuwa over genshin. I played both and I am at ar 60 and union 35 with data bank 18 . For me biggest problem with genshin from day 1 no skip button . It takes way the gameplay fun because I have to listen to every dilogs that are so boring and childish . Since global launch we asking so many things from genshin but don't get any thing in particular. Because they don't care about us so they don't listen.
So for my point of view I will support Wuwa because they done so many good thing right of the start that we are asking in genshin for 3 whole year .
So your prospective of this game is too much grindy is utter nonsense. I am playing 1-2 h in a day max and I reach lvl 35 .
after playing genshin all theses years I say genshin grind is way more and boaring.
@@dainsleif3633 There are some major differences, and that’s where the game designs differ. Artifact grinding in Genshin is optional if you want to optimize your characters. Its not necessary for progression, or even to beat content, unless your into meta or super fast clears you can put basic sets or even random gear on characters and be just fine. It’s also fast. The domains are easy and you can get the 2x resin. I’ve heard of players spending 2 hours going around the map hunting down the same monster to get echoes. I clear 5 artifact domaines in 20 minutes or less. Plus there are less substats to deal with. Echoes are designed to be grindy. And if you want to defeat the more difficult levels in Wuwa they are necessary.
Again you’re pointing out the differences. I like Genshin because I like the writing, the lore, the fact that weapons and artifacts contained lore as well. I don’t care if there is a skip button or not. I don’t like wuwa as much because most of the dialog just Isn’t that interesting. At least not to me.
Again as I said one way is not better or worse than the other, they are just different. One appeals more to you, one appeals more to me. vive le difference.

The video ignores the fact that Genshin players are spreading misinformation about the performance issues Wuthering Waves has as compared to Genshins' launch as well. Ngl the video feels like it ignores things that paint Genshin in a bad light even if it makes fun of its fans.

I think people might buy into the voice actor is dogshit because many voice actings in anime have been dogshit, like an absurd degree experienced by a pretty good % of people’s personal experience. It’d be a lot more convenient for the EN dub to be good for me personally but a las I am a JP enjoyer by force.
And it’s a lot easier to think the one speaking is the primary and sole reason for this slop. Which may or may not be true, guess it’s a case by case basis. In most cases I prefer JP because EN makes me cringe. Sometimes there is a good english voice actor from my own experiences but never have i heard a full cast that was good. I can give shoutouts the the actresses that did various characters in genshin, particularly Furina. If other people have felt similarly in the past, that’s likely why the blame is quickly attributed to the voice actors. I mean when I played wuthering wave, the first thing i did after hearing the voice acting was install JP and uninstall EN. Listening to the rover, chixia, and yangyang was intolerable for me personally.

I said this before the bot attacks that MiHoYo would hire people (paid actors) to harass WW to try and affect the community's opinion on the game. And I was right, MiHoYo doesn't care about any gacha so long as they aren't a "competition" the moment they get a rival they WILL TRY TO DESTROY them. This is just one method of that. MiHoYo is very rich they can do multiple things to hurt their competitors.
