From a college student in the STEM field, majoring in civil engineering + math, like she said, don’t be discouraged if you receive a grade lower than expected. Professors are there to challenge and push you. Just keep studying and trying. My best advice, make some upper class-men buddies, obtain old exams for classes / create mock exams (using class questions) and practice, practice, practice :) also, don’t be afraid to go to tutoring / TA (teaching assistant) study sessions... I meet so many good friends in those Sessions! good luck everyone :)

When she said that you are always doing something, even on your days off, like shopping or doing something with friends, I felt that. During the week I am busy with college and when I sometimes go home on the weekends, I almost never get to really relax cause there are like 5 friends that wanna meet and your fam also wants to do something with you. The list goes on. Of course it's nice and all but it really stresses me out. Even on your days off you are on such a tight schedule. You try to meet with 5 friends in like 2 days. You really reach the point where you are burnt out because there are exams after exams and so on. And if you try to relax there are so many other things that need to get done that you can't really relax. And when it reaches the point that even freetime activities are on your to do list and need to get done, almost like chores, that's when it gets worrying. And then you just sit on your desk the whole entire day and binge watch RUclips and IG Reels because you just can't bring yourself to do anything. That's only my experience but I agree with Kamri in this whole video
What would you suggest for someone with a chronic illness? (Like can’t handle workload, symptoms vary day to day, etc..) Suggestions? Also, my body is already in the sympathetic state 24/7 with my illness of POTS so what would you recommend helps get you out of that state?! Thank you🙏🏻
In terms of which one is harder, college or high school, I think I'm having a different experience than most people do. Also granted that I'm a freshman so it might change in future years, but I feel like college has been WAY easier than high school was like substantially easier. However after talking to some people that go to my school I've kind of figured that it might depend on States because I live in Virginia so I went to a high school in Virginia and Virginia is one of the top schools in terms of public education and I'm now attending college in North Carolina which isn't the worst state in terms of public schooling but it isn't in the top 10. So a lot of the stuff that we're learning now are stuff that I learned early on in high school. But I think I have a special case being an out of state student.
I have found college much easier then high school, I’m a junior and I have found most of my teachers grade easier and assign less assignments with are also easier then when I was in high school.

I guess one of my assumptions about college was that I will be ONLY taking classes related to my major...well that was a lie! I also assumed that community colleges would have dorms (I was in 11th grade LOL)
A word of advice to those planning to graduate high school a semester early and go to college in the middle of the year: people will already know each other better than they'll know you, so it'll be harder to make friends than it would be if you went in the fall. I would still recommend graduating a semester early, because I did it and I like being at college a lot more than being at home, but that's something to consider if that's your plan
Interestingly from what I saw on your Insta, the Chem you do at college is what we cover in our last year of school in the UK. (year 13, if you take Chem. Our system allows you to only take 3-4 topics maybe 5 which is extremely rare.)
I did physics chemistry maths and history at A-Level, but picked physics for uni. I do miss my other subjects, and when I see her work on her story, it kinda makes me wish we could take multiple courses at uni here
I just got pranked in the worst way. My friend told me and a bunch of my friends that one of his friends liked me. And he made it super believable. And it’s been going on for a while. And he told me it was a prank today. It wouldn’t have been half as bad if I hadn’t been sad for the past month that nobody ever seems to like me like that. 😒 Update guys: apparently some dude actually does like me. Wow. Did not expect that. But I still don’t feel like believing it
Oh I feel ya, no one pranked me like that but I feel like I’m looking for someone but no one is looking for me. But then I think, someone out there is thinking about meeting their soulmate, and it’s me for someone! Just keep that in mind 😊
I’m in college at a small private school in the Midwest! I agree that sometimes people meet lifelong friends at college but that’s not always true! Don’t feel the pressure to make lifelong friends, and if you only have a few close friends that’s totally okay too!
Chem 2 is notoriously difficult. Just keep studying, practice problems, and getting help... my friends and I all found it helpful to create mock tests / quizzes using old previous exam questions from upperclassmen students. Wishing you success!!!
I’ve gone to college for one class which is American sign language. It was a requirement to take a class whenever I have to work at adult learning center. My advice to those going is to be prepared for the unexpected.

Don’t graduate a semester early instead do dual enrollment.
For art students in college the workload is more, but the work isn't super hard.

I think it probably depends less on the particular University and more on your degree... I would guess STEM degrees at Baylor are also intense.
My best advise: go to a technical school first then transfer. Really think about the school you’re going to. Small schools aren’t always the best.
