Rachel, you have inspired me to go back to seasonal dressing. It certainly lifts your mood and makes you enjoy each season as it arrives :) Thank you for sharing. I so enjoy your videos, especially the slow living ones :)
A lovely way to start a Sunday. Gorgeous fabrics and super ideas which have also given me food for thought. You look very relaxed and lovely and hope you are keeping well.I love your new dress and it looks lovely on you . Have a wonderful week. Xx
Such gorgeous fabrics and sewing plans! I just love your new dress, it looks fabulous on you! Watching your videos is making me want to learn to sew my own clothes but I really don't know where to start. I have bad memories of trying to use a sewing machine at school when I made a very lopsided cushion cover! I'm learning to knit though which I'm thoroughly enjoying. I can't wait to see all your new makes Xx
Ah thank you so much! I really encourage you to have a go at sewing again as an adult. You may find it a lot easier when you can take your time and use RUclips for help. Lovely that you’ve started knitting 🧶❤️
Glad I found you! Our tastes in prints coincide, which is very pleasant to see. A suggestion from the States: a circle skirt could work, but circle skirts are fabric hogs. How about using soft pleats instead of the gathers? You wouldn't even need to change the pattern. Fold the fabric into two to four pleats set close to where we would sew darts in a pencil skirt.
I think it would be good to find a matching pink lighter weight fabric for the gathered part of the last pink fabric. I think if use the same fabric it will be too bulky. Or make the gather less bulky / less gathers as Another option.
Right... Spring... I'm still working on some winter looks! 😂 Love your fabric choices. Love Notions has a great T-shirt dress. Laundry day dress, I think it's called. Your new dress is so pretty! Have a great day❤
Haha thank you! Spring seems to be coming very fast. I’ve still got plenty of winter fabrics I didn’t get round to don’t worry 😂 thanks for the suggestion! ❤️
I have recently made a Coco jacket and I would say it’s slightly tight on me around the bust. I made a 12 and have a 36 bust. It’s a very simple construction. Good luck
I make circle skirts frequently, they're very easy, and you can find calculators online. Since the waist of the dress bodice isn't super fitted, I think your idea of doing a half circle is a good idea. With a full circle, especially in the heavier fabric, you might find the weight of the skirt pulling awkwardly.
just found ur channel hun & subscribed straight away 😁 I also love to go fabric shopping in the Charity Shops lol I’ve pick up some lovely duvet sets that will make gorgeous summer dresses 👗 & also some curtains (dunno what I’m gonna make outta them yet tho 😂), I also look at the clothes with nice or unusual patterns/designs on to make things out of them 😁 love the video & looking forward to more from ya xxx
About your sewing machine stains, don’t use baking soda, will scratch and cloud the finish. Try in small but not visible part, a cotton ball with alcohol, if not, try a q-tip with hair spray and again test an small area
Rachel, did I just meet you in the sewing shop in Witney? It has to be you! I bought some William Morris fabric and a Nicks dress pattern. I have really enjoyed your vlog anyway even if I have imagined it all. I am finishing my Agnes pjs, with short bottoms. They are a lot easier to make than the Carolyn pjs, but they are super cute too with all the fabulous piping. You could wear the shorts out in the summer for sure. If it was you it was a pleasure to meet you and if I’m mistaken I shall follow you because I love your makes!
Hi Mary! Yes that was me! So lovely to meet you and so excited that you’ve found the channel. Would love to see what you do with the Morris fabric so do send me a pic. Thanks for the tip on the pjs! Lovely to have you part of the channel ❤️
Love your plaid fabric.

Thank you that’s good to know! I think I will have a go at it. It’s a good skill to know for sewing I think.

With the pink fabric, just reduce the bulk in the pattern so the skirt won't be so full. It will look more stream lined.
Thanks for the advice! 🩷
Pleats might work. Don't have to cut first, just pin together and hold up.
That’s a good idea! Might give that a go! Thank you 😊
Hi have u tried the laundry day tee by love notions? It's a free pattern with loads of options x
I have not! I will definitely take a look though. Thank you so much for the recommendation ❤️
