These are very good tips Natalie! I have the talet but I don’t have the discipline to put all of my ideas together and come up with a plan.

haha eventually you'll get to it! It honestly takes a lot of discipline running a shop because if you don't do anything, no one will ever tell you off >

Thank you, Natalie! I really appreciate your insight. I am also in Canada, and I've been thinking about opening up a shop. But I've never considered myself "business savvy" in that sense, and I sort of "Assumed" that I couldn't do it. It seems scary and complicated to me. I'd love to see a video about finances. Maybe I won't see it as scary. (or maybe I will.. lol)

Would it be too much to ask for a video where you share and talk about the finances sides of things and tips for beginner artists that wants to become a freelance artist like you? Is it possible to do this for a life long profession? And do you think having multiple platforms (like making videos for RUclips, patron, kofi etc) are a must in order to be able to have stable income where we can support ourselves? I feel like a lot of people get discouraged for the worries and thoughts of not being able to put food on the table and have this as a job… i admire your work and openness so much, and you’re one of the artists I follow that inspire me to want to give my passion a go, it would be such a big help and relief if you could share this side of things with us even if some answers and truth may not be ideal in this career 🙏🏻❤ thank you so much

Aww thank you so much! I'm honoured by your kind words > < I have been asked to do a finance video actually by others and i'm drafting a script for it! It'll be out next year but I just want to get some details confirmed first since it is about money. I want it to be as accurate and helpful as I can! :))
In the meantime, I say go for it! If you start now, you'll get closer and closer to making your first sale and kickstarting this amazing journey ahead ^^

Addendum for fanart and other IP you don't own: some companies can and WILL go after you. Nintendo is one of the companies that are notorious for defending their IPs hard. They might not sue you, but if they find out you're infringing they will have it taken down (ie, cease and desist letter mailed to you). Only reason why people still do it is because they accept that there's a potential of being caught some day and see the gains as a significant enough advantage to try (an also fanart sells well)

Oh for sure. I think there was a time when Among Us was super popular there was a lot of people selling fanart until the developers said not to. I just feel like it's not worth the gamble in the long run. I'd hate to have all my work taken down after all the hours I poured into it :((
