Gerry and Ben sit down for a discussion with Cubicle 7 designer, Padraig Murphy, about their new Warhammer 40,000 roleplaying game that is coming soon. What is Imperium Maledictum?
► Check Out Warhammer 40,000: Wrath & Glory Too! www.beastsofwa...
We learn about switching to a d100 system and what that offers to players, the different characters that you're going to be playing as and the setting that you'll be exploring. We also discuss the kind of missions you'll be undertaking and how this is different and yet a suitable companion RPG to Wrath & Glory.
Are you excited about Warhammer 40,000: Imperium Maledictum?

#Warhammer #40K #ImperiumMaledictum
Our group hasn’t roleplayed in the 40k universe since our now fabled Rogue Trader campaign but this sounds like it might be time to fix that
Ooh, I hadn't heard this was coming out! Hope to play it in the future sometime!
Edit: Love Padraig's clear love of the lore!
Well, simply wow. All the things that have being said here surprise me and hit me in a good way. The thing that will be determinant for me is the ruleset. I loved Dark Heresy but it is so cumbersome to play after a few ranks (and special weapons and weapon modifiers, and special talents and exceptions and subrules)...on the other hand I find WFRP4th even more fiddly and crunchier... To m ethe right spot is a sort of WFRP2nd edition level of rules-detail.
First question: I would like to know where Imperium Maledictum will sit in that regard (a comparison in crunch).
Second question: How dangerous will be to manifest psy powers? Dark Heresy 1st edition level of risk? DH2nd edition (1 out of 10 chances to roll in the mishap table)? From what has been said I got the idea that it could be risky but manageable (he talked about warp charges, I suppose it is a cumulative risk-factor adding a peril modifier)
I'm pretty excited. I like WFRP 4th a lot. I prefer it to 2e.
Very nice - looking forward to it.
You are comparing this new Game System with Wrath & Glory, but what about Dark Heresy?
There is a 1 hour video on youtube called "Warhammer 40 Roleplay: Dark Heresy vs Imperium Maledictum" you might find helpful.
There any plans for a vehicle supplement? Or a void craft or aeronautical book? What about a book all about the AdMech and how forge worlds work?
Great interview!
Hi. How deadly the system will be in comparision to WH4ed in which the charakters were very protected by game mechanics?
Guys! I so excited for this! Is there a status of this system?!?! Any updates?
I've been running a DnD campaign and I'm really enjoying it but something more self driving, less time consuming, and more fluff sounds like a good time. Also, no need to fear not knowing the lore! It's separate, and self contained. I like sci-fi I'm going to try it.
I just heard about this as well, apparently it has been out since March on PDF, and the physical books are launching shortly?
@@hawkshot867yep a couple buddies and I have been playing the pdf version. The character creation is awesome in particular. Lots of little errors in the pdf but nothing to bad.
@@christopherphillip1821 we just grabbed the pdf, so much easier to digest than Dark Heresy. Definitely going to play it.
Really hope they keep their word and keep Wrath and Glory going bc I personally love that system and am just burnt out on d100/d20 systems bc there's genuinely no difference between the two mathematically
I would have loved to see this in the same d6 system as Wrath and Glory
W&G is bananas in terms of rules and dicepool never really suited 40k-ish playstyle so I'm glad that we can finally have a better alternative
@@bartomiejboguski9676 how do you figure?
@@bartomiejboguski9676 Not really.
you should try Forbidden Lands, it's a d6 success based game.
My only concern is C7 spreading itself too thin. So many projects including Kickstarter. I quit D&D in 2022; now focusing on WFRP for my fantasy and W&G for my 40K. I can't keep buying new systems lol.
I want a genestealer cult patron
There is so much potental for Xenos Supplements
Wait what?? Rogue Trader?? Sign me up
Can the guy who wouldn't stop laughing sit out of the next interview please
Same game again, how unexciting.
Same to what?
Another d100 system...wish it was d10 or d6.
