Africamps, Kam'Bati River Resort Glamping Swellendam South Africa

- Africamps glamping at Kam'Bati is on the banks of the Breede River, a few kilometres from Swellendam in the Western Cape. Here is our independent review and trip report, along with, I hope some tips that you might find useful. The weather wasn't great, more like winter than early summer, but the surroundings and quality of the accommodation and facilities was outstanding. The property is very much geared for families, and also for traditional campers and those who prefer 4 solid walls, with the on site chalets.
It was the last of 11 Africamps properties, and definitely one of our top 3 in the country. I can really recommend it, and it's close (around 2 hours drive) to Cape Town too.

We stayed as guests of Africamps, with absolutely no strings attached. All transport, food, drink and excursions were at our own expense. So this video reflects my personal and unbiased opinion.

Going the end of the month going camping there and.going fishing hope I catch some fish I can't wait any tips if u fished there?
The camp site is awesome, right on the river. I haven’t fished there specifically, but have fished in the Breede at other places. There are some big small mouth bass, you would find them in the rapids.
you can even camp in your own tents? nice!
And the camp sites are really well positioned along the river.

If you mean the river, I'd say yes, but it was flowing very fast this time because of all the rain. When not in flood it must be very nice to cool off.

You are right, it was named after a Dutch governor, Hendrik Swellengrebel.
