We go camping at the Balie's Gat, "Rietdakkie" campsite and get review all their accommodation options. The campsites are Pet Friendly but all the self catering options are unfortunately not.
We explore the Balie's Gat campsites, wooden cabins and glamping tents secluded in the mountains. Situated near the small town of Op-Die-Berg in the Southern Cederberg between the towns of Ceres and Citrusdal on the R303 in the Western Cape, South Africa on a working agricultural farm. We had such a lovely stay in the most peaceful campsite we've been to and as a bonus the campsite is pet friendly. We can highly recommend this campsite to anyone who enjoys a weekend camping in a smaller non commercialized campsite with no electricity or cellphone reception. Balie's Gat offers ... Camping in an extremely safe environment, self catering accommodation and glamping tents, two rock pools to splash about in, do a bit of catch and release fishing (Blue Gills and Black Bass ), a small waterfall. Balie's Gat is motorcycle friendly and your shopping can be done for you with prior arrangement. Group bookings are also welcomed with a minimum booking of 30 people in the campsite and it will be compulsory to book the two wooden cabins with two persons in each cabin, meals can also be arranged for group bookings

For camping it was about R150 per person per night. I'm not too sure of the prices of the cottages and glamping, it's probably best to pop them an email and chat directly with them... [e-mail]
