I remember when I first heard this disc, around 1985 or 86, I was amazed. I listened to it so many times back then. It was one of the great moments of musical discovery in my life. I miss that moment.
The streaming versions are actually a 2017 re-release with abridged versions of without mercy and extra tracks. Confusing and weird, I know. The release brands itself as ‘without mercy’, why chop that track up? well.. a good chance to branch out from Spotify I guess, epic music is all the more great when you’ve worked to find it, it’s boring when it’s so easy, I think.. (chance and coincidence is nice too)
It seems Vinny hates Without Mercy or, at least, he was very unhappy with the album. I think I've read this on The Guardian. Well, Nico hated Chelsea Girl and Liz Fraser and Robin Guthrie have several issues with Cocteau twins ' Treasure. I love with all of my forces all of these albums
