🔔Better than the Liberty Bell! Here’s why!

  • 🔔This experience was a thousand times better than the time we tried to visit the Liberty bell in Philadelphia, only to be greeted with over an hour long wait to see an itty bitty bell and a glass pane thicker than cages at the zoo! Needless to say, our experience seeing the Liberty bell wasn’t great!🤣 BUT when passing through Oakridge, Tennessee (a city just west of Knoxville) we learned that Oakridge was the secret city where the atomic bomb was built! This bell was a gift from Japan symbolizing peace and reconciliation between our two countries. It’s called the International Friendship Bell. We love finding these unique attractions that are off the beaten path. Thank you to the guy at the car wash who informed us of this bell! No plan is the best plan ✌️😎 #travelfamily #roadtrip #summervacay #worldschool

Eyyyy! Nice to see my little town on here. The history of the Friendship bell is a good one. For those that dont know, Oak Ridge Tn was where the Manhattan Project started.

oak ridge civic center!! they have one pool table, half the building is closed down and/or used for meetings, a basketball court, and a sidewalk. theres literally nothing here in oak ridge and i think they need more fun things for teens!
