Good to see what is quite possibly the most decorated class of ships in the entire series getting more recognition. I can safely say that for my entire time as the leader of the Riders, I'd immediately get nervous if I saw one of these monsters on the field because I knew that with a good pilot they were one of the few ships that posed a severe and genuine threat to the Rider capital core.
Ah Viminal doing viminal things... those were the days.
The Viminal is a good design, I would not replace it I would simply start modifying the design and make improvements. You have a good foundation to build upon, take it to the next level.
The CDF's Sherman, absolutely stunning
Dude, I love to see the formation of a legendary ship design and its fluid evolution, even as it changes hands from one faction, to another, it is an essence of real life right there. Also, the fact that this Destroyer could get much bigger ships to turn and flee from it definitely give me some USS Johnston vibes as that's the ship that caused the Yamamoto to turn from and flee a battle that it had basically no chance of losing. Battle Off Samar, fear the bold.
Honestly the Viminal seems like the Fletcher of Outlands from this video, cool stuff!
Viminal is basically outlands's Sherman
a very nice ship. can survive a beating, but every single time an asteroid appers, they lose their minds and go group hug on the big mass of stuff in space...
I wouldn't say the Viminal replaced the Sekhmet or Legionnaire. We were low on destroyers to begin with, and once we got the massive influx of "free" destroyers from the CDF, we had a decent enough reserve of destroyers in general. At that point we had the choice of "make more destroyers" or "Now that we have an actual reserve lets make some actual capitals" and the latter was chosen.
That said, we very quickly came to love the Viminal, it is undeniably a very very good Destroyer [just ask scannie lol ]
sorta, but I did notice that a lot of the older Rider Destroyer we not really deployed except on a particular suicide mission.

For a design born out of sheer panic after seeing the outlander class, it has exceeded all expectations, I just hope the remaining herd can make it through 1 more season..

Sorta reminds me of the Miranda class from Star trek, a ship that's stood the test time and though many ships have tried to replace her, none shall succeed
I wish the season 2 had an interior'd version. I just like how it looks a bit more than the season 1 one.
S2 did get a very nice exterior face lift. And yeh I certainly miss the fully kitted interiors
Hey guys. The S2 version actually has a fully furnished interior. You can find it in the collection labeled "Gen.2 [CINEMATIC]".
And on a slight correction to what was said in the video, this was the only Viminal ever receiving one. The S1 version was mostly hollow or armored on the inside, as it was built in basically one evening 🙃

I don't own or have ever played Space Engineers, but I'm finding myself watching a lot of your videos... I've subscribed and I like the videos I've watched... But, why? I have no clue... this is good stuff, and a nice distraction while I play hours on end of Total War Warhammer 3.

The Star Destroyer would probably be an amazing design for this series if you gave it extra thrusters for maneuverability and you merged the bridge into the hull a bit. The pyramidal wedge design means that you will _always_ be able to bring at least three quarters of you firepower to bear against anything that isn't in an extreme rearward arc while maintaining a small forward profile.

I like to think all the CDF crews who were serious about the civilian defence stayed with their Viminals when they enlisted with the Riders. Maybe they can help the Riders keep the new peace whilst flying their newly renamed Vagabonds. Can the Riders build Vagabonds now?

A large section of the CDF continued to fight for the Riders without joining the Riders fully
after the war, they left the faction and their ships.

hi, love the series (watched a recap of season 1 and 2 of outlands, currently going through season 7 sigmarius) and this is a rather weird question, but what mod is the A.I anime face from in episode 69 of season 7? i like it, it's weird, anyways thank you in advance for responding and or pointing the mod my way

Like a 3/1 in magic or hearthstone, offensive skew and the ability to punch up is extremely valuable in a low cost asset.

Starwars got some good design to take from and funny once again its the basic ship thats strong and easy to learn becoming a backbone workhorse
I wish Railguns were better so we could see a support class if ships in battle.

What's the longest range, highest damage weapon available? Could be useful to pair a sniper BB up with a few of these.
