    I find it very interesting that the GM1 & GM2 McRae cars were not mentioned, these cars totally dominated F 5000 with G McRae getting 3 gold star championships!!!!!!

      Very true and an accidental omission. We do need to do a piece on McRae, his career and his cars.

    My grandfather drove one of these in the 70’s. A Lola/Chevy . I thought he said it was a cosworth Chevy, but my memory isn’t good enough to say for certain.

    The 1969 championship was won by a aar eagle, fyi

      That's the US Series, the European Series was won by McLaren M10A-1, the Peter Gethin Church Farm car.
