This piston door design is amazing, but I've found ways to improve it: In the piston layout, replace the normal pistons at 3:39 with sticky pistons, and remove the sticky pistons that retract the top and bottom sticky pistons that you mentioned at 3:51. That will make the door cost fewer resources since you don't need to power as many sticky pistons. Basically, you're using the sticky pistons you replaced the normal pistons with to retract the door as well. I made this change, but now there's a lot of air in the redstone, so you might be able to make it smaller.

Block events have caused so many cool inventions recently. True vanilla wireless redstone with global range and channels is one of them. Yes I'm being serious
remember that all pistons initially have the same bed when directly powered, the real reason why the right piston extends first is because of update order (which is very complicated).
i misplaced one block in this behemoth and had to play spot the difference between the sides, it turns out i put the piston at 13:03 directly under the redstone and not diagonally haha otherwise love the door and love the tutorial
if you still need help make sure the slab is the top half not sure if thats why its not working but yeah also if you are on bedrock theres a 99.9% chance this wont work anyway

Well it sure is "cheaty" but the objective is the best possible door, not the least "cheaty" or whatever you might call it door, so i feel like it's alright, especially since it's still vanilla mechanics.
