Who would like a reaction to the live version of this??? Loving this Slipknot journey so much! Love ya, Maggot Army! 🤘❤
yes, the live in London 2002🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Dynamo 2000
download 2009, so good
(SIC) - Slipknot (Live at Reading Fest 2002) 👌🤯, It does not have the best quality being from 2002 but the sound is incredible, according to me it is better than the original theme.
Do it!!!
"Here comes the pain!!!" I just needed 10 seconds or maybe less to fall in love with this band back in 99 and still (SIC) 🤘🤖
Here comes the pain - Sampled from the film 'Carlitos Way'
@@crayzeewhorse That's right!!
@Chandler Humphreys let me tell you, according to what you said, you have a great Dad! And I'm glad to hear that you are so much better now. Metal and music in general have been saving people for a long time and that is so great. This knowledge have to be one of the best legacy things for generations to come
Exactly!
I bought the CD after that line
the craziest thing about Joey's drumming.
when most drummers do wicked fast double bass they normally use one of either heel-toe or swivel technique to make it easier on their legs.
But Joey would just pump his legs as fast as he could and basically stomp on the pedals until they either broke or he finished the song.
Unfortunately that technique may have contributed to his decline, not to mention his shorter or more inconsistent double-bass sections sometimes when performing live.
Congratulations to him, thats how he ended up fucking up his leg articulations by 2009... i respect him fo what he did as a drummer but tecnique and consistency are key in a band career. i like much more extreme drummers that play crazier with proper techniques
@@FlyboyHelosim Nils Fjellström plays +200 bpm double bass with just hip flexors.
Rolling his R’s with his feet. Probably my favorite description of his insane speed lmao.
This band...this drummer... Back in the day I've discovered Slipknot with "Eyeless", it was a kick in the balls hahaha! This album is so perfect, Joey is one of my main influences as a Drummer, and a lot of my hands/foots breaks are from him. A great one and we miss him a lot.
I'm a drummer and the drumming part of this song is sick great reaction
Hey don't forget to check out junna she's great I know you will love her
As a fellow drummer, I can confirm that drumming to this is sick
I'm sorry don't you mean "(Sic)"?
You’re on a roll aileen. Such a great slipknot song. They were all good musicians but joey really was the backbone to that group
We all loved Joey but I gotta say the new drummer is almost neck and neck with Joey and he doesnt seem to get credit because he lives in Joeys shadow.
@@jxstified7558 hes really good jay but he’s not what joey was
@@jxstified7558 Jay is like 20 tiers below joey
@@GangGreen80 Joey was also a founding member and main songwriter. It was his band just as much as it was Paul and Shawn's band. No offense to the newer guys in the band but they are replacements and that's it, it's not their band and it's not the same. The new guys all joined Slipknot when the band was already successful and popular, and they will never be as hungry or motivated as the original band. It all feels a bit contrived now.
@@isopropyltoxicity Joey was one of the few celebrity musicians I felt a connection to, he was a very talented musician and no one had more heart than Joey. Joey was a phenomenal drummer in every way, but Jay is a great drummer in his own right. It's really not fair to Jay that he is always compared to Joey, that guy works his ass off and he can play. Joey was a driving force in making Slipknot who they are, but Jay deserves credit as well. Filling Joey's shoes was not an easy thing to do, and I think he's doing a damn fine job.
My favorite Slipknot song from the first album, also Eyeless, and Surfacing, total killer tunes. Live this band is pure mayhem.
This song gets me PUMPED!!!
Corey's vocals here are fucking flawless. 10/10 songs
I good live version is live 2002 at redding festival. I think it's called redding, could be wrong.
🤘
I run out of breath just listening to Corey go full on, how does he have that much air in his lungs!
Crazy fast drums from Joey, awesome raw singing from Corey, all the band old and new are just pure talent.
Great choice, this is such an awesome song. I'd love to see you react to more of their early songs like Eyeless, Surfacing, Liberate, Eeyore, Get This... that whole album is 🔥🔥
And yes, Slipknot has a DJ, Sid, that's why you hear turntables.
Yeah liberate needs more love. I feel its a neglected gem.
Liberate from London 2002 is a big one
@@RickJames-wf2rm oh fuck yeah 100%. I like their new stuff but the raw unfiltered ball of chaos of the 1st two albums is gone. Not a Diss to them. As you get older you do tone down the madness abit.
They have 3 "drummers". A regular drummer and 2 "custom percussionists". When I saw them at Ozzfest in 2001 they were like hanging over these big ass drums. The mix of drums sounds really really great. Also yes that is a turntable.
Yep. They had 2 when I saw them in 2002
I seen them at ozzfest 2001 in Denver. Fucking insane can't describe it
Man Joey is still my favorite drummer. He’s my inspiration to play drums
Your doing the lords work Aileen. Absolutely loving all your reactions since I discovered you these last few weeks. Stay (sic).
Thank you so much!!
Death Grips
LOVE your Slipknot & Gojira reviews especially. Time to get into Deftones catalog…Amazing!
Joey was an outright LEGEND! and deserves all the love we can give him! He's sorely missed in the metal word! I saw him with The Murderdolls (played guitar) and was just as BADASS as he was in Slipknot! Well done gurl! You fkn RULE!! 🦇🔥🥁 -J.s.
You smiled and bopped around just like I did the day I picked this up a week after it was released. Amazing!!
I discovered them by accident: I was 15 and dipping my toes in Metal music (At this point I was listening to a lot of rap, punk and my fair share of pop rock) I went to a music store and flipped through every album I saw with an explicit lyrics warning sticker. I picked up this album and Limp Bizkit's "Chocolate Starfish and the hot dog flavored water"
I fell in love with this song so hard that to this day I love every single song in this album
2 of my favorite albums ever!
Even if you don't react to other songs off of this album, I highly recommend listening to the rest of this album multiple times before you move onto other material. Listening to this album over and over again is an unbelievable experience.
I really want you to react to SULFUR
To me this song is a masterpiece and once again Joey is just a monster on the drums. They put this back on their setlist this year and I couldn’t be happier for them.
What an introduction to the first album 🔥
I remember hearing this and being like 🤯
Keep up the Slipknot, you are on a roll 🤘🏻
in sulfur you can hear paul's bass alot too.
Still my favourite album from them to this day.
This song is definitely on my gym playlist. Useless information, the part in the beginning, it cuts to a add of "HERE COMES THE PAIN!" It's from a movie called Carlito's Way...Good movie btw. Can't wait to see what's next.
THIS!
This was their closer when I saw them live in 2008 in Stockholm! One of my favourite songs from the ’Knot. Pure energy this one!
Damn I really forgot about this song. Awesome song. Me and few of my colleagues are big fans of Slipknot and Rammstein (two different metal styles but so amazing) glad that you make videos of this two groups. Congrats.
It would be cool of you heard the demo version of this song 3 years before this as well. Different vocalist but still an experience
that was MFKR right?
@@sariahreigns3666 mfkr's first song called slipknot, and it was combined with gently in 1997 on the crows demo
I love your reactions! The enjoyment you get from heavy brutal music reminds me of me.❤️🤘🏻
Great reaction girl. It's like you been reading my mind and reacting to my favorite slipknot songs all this time. And remember ; once you become maggot there's no turning back.
Yeah Aileen a live version of this would be amazing keep up the great journey
This was the first Slipknot song I ever heard. I was hooked from day one!
You’re amazing! Keep the content coming.
Very entertaining reaction! You don't try talking over all the music like alot of ppl do, subscribed👌
Can't Wait! 🤐
My favourite SLipknot lyric "you cant kill me cos I;m already inside you". To me on the first song on their first album it's really speaking to the listener. Remember getting this as a teen when it came out and everthing was sooo fucking cool, the masks, the artwork the heaviness. just a perfect album
I've been listening to this band for quite some time and I still love them!!!
that song is awesome!!!!
definitely one of my most favorite tracks of theirs. I have overlistend to this album that once you finished listening to this I started humming Eyeless afterwards (the next song on the album)
Another cool reaction to a kick ass song from the absolutely stunning Aileen 🤘❤️
This is a killer song. Love Slipknot. Slipknot is one of the most bands that I've listened to that was on the extreme side. Skin Ticket or Frail Limb Nursery/Purity should be next. A great song. Great reaction as always
Aileen reacting to my favorite Slipknot song wearing a sweater with my favorite Pokémon on it! This just made my day!
Love this track! Thank you for reacting to their songs!
You should try All That Remains - Two Weeks
I'm gonna have to go back and listen to this album. Been a loooooooong time. I grew up in iowa and this album dropped when i was in school. (sic) was the last song I'd listen to before going to play football on a friday night and i hadnt thought of that in ages. thanks for the flood of memories!
Fun fact, Joey rarely if ever wore a mask. Since his drum kit was massive he opted to painting his face so he could see what he was doing! Regardless, one of the best drummers of all time!!
I remember being at the concert screaming every lyric to this song . Best time of my life 🔥❤
That Gengar shirt is the greatest part of any of your videos.
Best album for me! Live? Yes please! They are crazy live!🔥🔥🔥🔥😈🤘✌
seen these guys back in 2000 at the warfield in SF. One of the best shows ever!
One of my all time favorites by slipknot along with spit it out 👌👌 yeah for sure you need to check the live version !
totally agree , great reaction!
Looking forward to more of your KoRn reactions!
Another really great song that highlights Joey's ability is all hope is gone the title track, you would love it! Love the video keep it up 💕
Sign me up to watch a live version reaction! Great reaction, thanks for sharing.
Oh my fuck, I've fell in love. From sweater to song reaction. Coffee one morning?
I think i love you. Lol.
This is one of the best tracks ever for vocal emotion projection
Everytime I've seen Slipknot live this is the song they always come playing. They have curtain covering the stage and it drops at 1:09 .. epic
Their debut album is truly something else. 🤘🏻🔥 The first song I ever heard was Surfacing back in ‘99 and that song punched me in the face sooo hard that I couldn’t quite understand what was going on but it was an amazing experience…that first listen! 🖤
I was right there with you in 99! Always remember never Forget
@@HuntingYe 🤘🏻🤘🏻
you should experience it in person.... WORTH IT!!!
I discovered this band with that song in the late 90s early 2000s, you gotta start with the intro of the album though that keeps going into this song, so good.
very nice reaction video, i can really see that you can feel sort of music very much. as being an empath i could sense your energy very much in resonance with the whole concept of being sic. lol, quite strange and cute at the same time. can i make a suggestion for a reaction ?
I heard this in 1999 and my mind was blown. The best Slipknot album 🤘🏽🔥.
Thanks for your reaction 👍
Good stuff, music and reaction
This song was my very first song I ever heard from them back in the day. I remember the hair on my arms standing straight up and getting goosebumps. This whole album was amazing.
You have to listen to Surfacing!!
This is gonna be a... SIC reaction
Lmaoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
BA DUM TSSSS *LUL*
@@AileenSenpai Can't wait for it! Oldschool Slipknot is such a vibe
Pauls Bass on the first two albums and including MFKR sounds so fucking raw and perfect
Aileen, another great reaction ;) !!Love it
May I add one think , I hope you to agree - don't get me wrong. love Joey aslo very much, God rest his soul.He was a phenomenal talant. But I think you got to pay a respect to Slipknot present drummer also - Jay Weinberg.....he is also a Great drummer, and he is giving his best. From some time, I'm advicing you to react to Nero Forte and Solway Filth, in these songs it is quite visible how talented he are....and many many more....
Hope to see you react to those two soon,i;m sure you'll love these songs
Greetings from Bulgaria
Funny you mentioned that about Joey creating drummers….for I am one of them. Love live Nathan “Joey” Jordison. Also, Sic was Joeys song, you nailed it! He wrote a lot of their music before he left Slipknot. Just discovered your channel from the Daddy KoRn reaction, you are really dope! Keep it up 🤘🏾
One of my fave slipknot anthems lol.
Another outstanding reaction Aileen!! Since you enjoy both drums and metal, I highly recommend you check out Slaughter To Prevail and their song Demolisher. Both the official video, AND the drum cam version with their drummer, Evgeny Novikov. Keep your seat belt on, cause it's a fun ride!
I feel like Joeys lines were 1 time and done things on them records :D Feels so pure and Sic :D
Drums, drum machine, turn table, lol all that. They were awesome in their craft, especially Joey jordison
Absolutely love this song
This song is the best song on this album, there is no doubt in my mind. This album has a lot of good songs, but this was the heaviest, it was the most raw, it has the best progression that doesn't rely on hooks and choruses and more resembles modern metalcore than anything they've ever released.
Great reaction though! Glad you enjoyed it!
Imo joey and Paul were heart and soul of the band Joey the most talented. You can tell dude loved it and slipknot was his baby. I watched when he won the golden god award after he parted with knot that he wanted nothing more to return.
They definitely were. Without either of them it just feels contrived now.
😭😭😭
For me the best song in their first album. One of the perfects summaries of what is Slipknot.
what WAS slipknot. I dont think i can forgive them for how they did joey dirty.
I remember seeing him perform with his side project scar the martyr for thor first show in NY the moment he got on his drum set I felt those vibrations when he doing a sound check I felt those vibrations in my chest travel and part of me felt i will never experience that again
To answer your question yes, that is a turntable creating those sounds and if you listen carefully in alot of slipknot songs you can hear sid wilsons work.
So happy you're reacting to nu-metal bands:)
First music album i bought with my own money, i was 15 and blasting this in my room all day. My mom went nuts.
Dig the Gengar sweatshirt, and of course tunes from my hometown's most famous band :D
My life will forever be incomplete without a Gengar sweater.
Joey inspired me to play the drums. Favorite Slipknot song to play is between (sic), before I forget and psychosocial
This song blew my fucking mind back in 2000 when I was 16. Them and 80s metallica got me into heavier metal music
This record is the best rollercoaster I've ever ridden ever😊🔥🤘
Joey was blistering quick but i grew up with Lombardo and Cavalera etc so that wasn't really that new. what i really appreciated about Joey was his sublime feel and inventiveness, combining many genres to make his own style.
Joey changed metal drumming IMHO.. The dude was one of a kind.
You HAVE to watch the live version of this song.
Thanks for reviewing this song. I hope you eventually will do Slipknot -Everything Ends. It's such a great and painful song. If you haven't heard it, when you do you will never forget it.
this album still holds up
Another Great Reaction 🤟♥️ Great "stink face"
Next Slipknot song has to be Custer. Listener aggression is advised.
Don't know if you'll see this, but to anyone interested:
The "Here comes the pain!" at 1:19 is a sound clip of Al Pacino from the movie Carlito's Way I believe. Little bit of Slipknot trivia for ya!
Ever thought of getting a drum set & do drum covers to the metal songs you reacted to? 🤘🏼🤘🏼
This album front to back was all good no filler, and so much raw unfiltered angst... I played the hell outta this cd
That Gengar sweater is lit!
If u like this song check the WHOLE album, it was the first album the world heard from them and it leaves an impression. Surfacing is still my personal fav song from them and it was from this album.
That Gengar sweater is really cool.
One of my favs
Please react to Eyeless by Slipknot :)
And you should watch the small clip of Joey playing the intro of this live, your mind will be blown!
yea, I think the core reason for popularity of reactions is vicarious nostalgia
First Slipknot track I ever heard. It was love at first listen
Hearing the intro from the self tilted album to this was probably the scariest thing ever then seeing them come out in white boiler suits then clown and Mick screaming in your face
I was like 13 when this came out. Raging out in my room to slipknot saved me
