    You are an excellent teacher, giving so many good examples of the practical usage. I already enrolled in a good but expensive course but can’t stop watching and repeating your sessions ;-) keep on doing the good work !

    I love how animated you are. It helps to associate the Thai words with actions/feelings/expressions instead of an English word.

    Hi sir. Appreciate ur lesson what is the difference of เรียบร้อยแล้ว and leow? Both means already?

    • @IgetThais
      @IgetThais  Год назад +1

      เรียบร้อยแล้ว(reab roi laew) and แล้ว(laew) are both mean "already." However, they have a little bit different nuances in meaning and usage.
      เรียบร้อยแล้ว(reab roi laew) is a more formal and emphatic way of saying "already." It is used to emphasize that something has been completed, especially in response to a question or request.
      แล้ว(laew) is a more casual and general way of saying "already." It can be used to indicate that something has been completed, but it is not as emphatic as เรียบร้อยแล้ว(reab roi laew).
      For example, I ask you ทำงานเสร็จแล้วหรือยัง(tam ngaan sed laew rue yang) Have you finished your work yet? You can reply เสร็จแล้ว(sed laew) (Yes, I have.)
      but if you want to emphasize that you have done the work already you can say เรียบร้อยแล้ว(reab roi laew).

    Hi teacher, can you explain why when foreigners talk Thai with Thai people, Thai people understand but still reply in English? I am kinda disappointed as I really want practice Thai with Thai people.

    • @bernardverkouille8416
      @bernardverkouille8416 Год назад

      Hello I experienced the same fact learning other languages like Italian and Spanish. When you are in a shop or restaurant they just know from experience that in most cases foreigners are able to ask a question (after preparing the formulation) but don’t understand their answer and then it takes much time and patience for them … finally they still have to switch to English. I experienced that you can only have a conversation with friends who take their time for you. But all of this depends of course of your level of speaking. Nowadays I can fake to be a native speaker in 6 languages but just started learning Thai last month and I’m afraid it will take very much time before I even dare to say something in Thai to a local 😢
