Love the choice of music. I'm not a diver yet, can't wait to get underwater, it's been years since I've been under even in a pool. Being deep in the ocean is so relaxing to me, that looked super peaceful. Something about being in a totally alien world rarely visited by man is so special.
It's even more relaxing and awesome than you think. Get certified, it's so worth it.

This dive was a few years ago so I don't remember the specifics to be honest. Definitely GF, probably 35/75.

3:48 - is that a 25/12 travel mix?
I saw 12/57 as a bottom gas + double oxy on right arm..
If not a secret could you say about other cylinders and gases used?
That is very well observed! The 25/12 allows us to switch to a richer blend deeper on the way up. Having that extra bit of oxygen sooner reduces the total deco time by almost 20 minutes! So on the left I had that 25/12 and a 50% enriched air. The double oxygen on the right is one that we plan to use and one for backup (that's why it's not just one larger cylinder). My buddy had only one oxygen but two 50%, again one of which as a backup should someone in the team have a regulator failure.

I've done some tmx dives but 100m is still to come...
When I tried to plan gasses for 100m it was something like: 12/60(twinset), 20/20(11l), 50(11l), 100(7l) and a deposit of some air/weak nx(15l) +another buddy waiting on 20-21m.
@@DiveSAGA What's your solution if you have a free flow at 100 meters? Will you be able to make it to the next gas switch using 25/12?
@@scubaclient355 Same as it would be shallower- isolate the doubles and use what's left on the bad side before switching to the good side. Switch to 25/12 when at the scheduled ascent depth.

Nice! What kind of camera and housing do you guys use? Was it actually rated to go 100m, or 60m and did you exceed their guaranteed max depth? I'm currently looking for a new camera, and also want to pick up Trimix diving in the near future. Thanks in advance!

Hi! Yes the water temperature here is very agreeable so a 5mm will do. It's indeed a double bladder. An absolute must! Thank you for watching :)

Looking to get a perdix dive computer and saw in the video that it looked like the screen was almost flickering. Is this just from the camera or does it normally do that?

Noob question I couldn’t find an answer online. How do you maintain buoyancy at these depths? I was under the assumption that at a certain point the pressure on the BCD is so great that amount of air needed for enough volume required to stay buoyant is too high to be practical.
Not sure if you still need an answer 7-months later, but you maintain buoyancy with your BC and lungs. Yes the air in the BC gets compressed, but then you add a little more to compensate. Make sure you're not overweighted, which tends to be a common problem when starting out.
@@brois841 BROis, is right. To test for proper weighting, get in water about 10 feet deep (for safety don’t go into too deep of water), and fully deflate your BCD, then take a full deep breath in.
To continue- If your weighting is correct, you’ll float at around eye level with a full breath of air, and then if you fully exhale, you start to sink. And if you want you can add like 1 or 2 more pounds than that, to compensate for empty tanks later
