This top 16 announcement is so exciting.. the stage effects, the music, the engaging hosts, the script, the lively crowd.. not yet with narcissistic host, ridiculous small talk interview, repetitive music and harvey lines and sleepy crowd. Please bring back this kind of miss universe presentation!

if this format will be back , then they will mostly pick Caucasians or Latinas..Africans and Asians will be left behind, see what happened in Miss Universe 2009, only one from South Africa and no Asian was chosen to make the cut, there's no equal of choosing the delegates or it seems discrimination will play again, something like that. definitely it is exciting to watch. but base on what I've seen from those past editions, Caucasians and Latinas dominate a lot..

Philippines’ Shamcey Supsup is now the National Director of Miss Universe Philippines. Honestly, the Trump Era is the most beautiful era of Miss Universe. The excitement, the announcement, the vibe, I can’t explain it. Please bring back this format. The worst edition is 2019. The best IMG era is 2018.

I agree but I still prefer IMG queens tho like they more have their own individuality, in Trump era they all have the same princess smile while in IMG they really bring out their real self they are like queens for me, But I love them all, I just love IMG IMG queens more. Plus Trump's Era has always the best production.

It's true that 2019 had the worse edition. I do love Zozi and I feel sad that she was deprived with a good show production and eventually her reign due to the pandemic.

the camera man was know the contestants who were semifinalist.
the people of the organization just know the top 20 before the first cut,and the position wich each girl is on the stage.
Of course.... it would be a big mess if the cameramen are clueless...
Well of course they should be informed as it is hard to find the girl and to capture the initial reaction when they are called.
They know it already. They undergone breifing already before the show starts.
However, the panning of the camera is not discreet in finding “who will be the one next to be called” unlike now that even the cameramen knows where are the finalists, they sometimes passed through the candidate just for suspense.

Esse era o formato ideal de escolha das Top 20 pois se dava mais emoção ao concurso de Miss Universe desde que o certame passou a ser comandado por aquele comediante norte-americano a seriedade, beleza e disputa que havia foi por água abaixo. Ele tem de ser substituído urgentemente. O Miss Universe perdeu muito a sua identidade ainda mais no atual formato de escolha por continentes ficou parado e enfadonho!
Ainda bem que se livraram daquele ridículo, não acrescentava em nada.

@@taichiperfectyes but they just placed second at Miss Universe. The country isn’t as performing as good like in the 1980s to 2000s but I wouldn’t say they are failing as a Miss Universe entrant. The countries that truly declined are Germany, Finland, Sweden, Israel for example who did so well back then but struggle to even place now.
