I feel like the whole of south east asia won! I'm so happy to see that over the years south east asians have been supporting each other's contestants in any pageant. And when the winner is from the region, you won't see other countries expressing bitterness about it. In fact, they'd celebrate along. Thailand I must say, has done an excellent job hosting this year. It was superb! I'm happy for Laos who was best in national costume. I'm happy for Indonesia and Thailand for making it to the semis. I'm happy for Vietnam for making it far to the top 5. And of course, I'm happy for the Philippines for yet again, a well deserved win. No one can deny that the crown truly belongs to Catriona.

101% deserving of crown si Catriona galeng ng execution!
She was among the ladies favored to win this year. She did an excellent job overall from start to finish. So many questions of why the back-to-back for South Africa never happens? Why Miss Puerto Rico didn't make it to top 3? Canada was quite impressive too. Why? Somehow, each category each candidate fell short, may be in stage presence, or lock luster in gown competitions and much agreeable part was questions and answer portion. Miss Philippines did a thrilling side in catwalk, her presence so powerfully erupted the long run way ... she's not too small to notice with her "LAVA WALK and SLOWMO TWIRL". She put that very distinguish signature in Miss Universe stage not in Miss World or any other pageant, and again this was the best Miss Universe pageant I've ever seen for all time.
If Miss Philippines didn't answer it well she will not going to make this happens right? So what are those effort if she fails to answer the whole thing, I'll be waisted and not all this will serve its purpose. She's smart, beautiful and relaxed ... she seems like having a glamorous party night. She doesn't feeling anything like competition, for her was just a smooth party night. She truly enjoyed that night.
Miss Universe 2010 ... Venus was sounds like a big wave, She's the image of Miss Venezuela 2018 and was favored to win the crown. Miss Venus sounds like Universe already, she's almost perfect from opening, swimsuit, and gown but she failed to answer the question. No Answer, no CROWN.
I think it'll be hard again for Philippines to see this type of ladies, they need another candidate that's is very articulate, not afraid of questions and answer portion round, much prettier, self driven to conquer another crown. It's hard to see a back to back for Philippines as if never happens to Colombia nor South Africa, if the pageant will takes place in the Philippines perhaps. However, if the pageant will be in Europe or here in America I think Philippines will make that back-to-back happen.
For now, Miss Philippines Catriona was the most amazing one I saw from Universe, she definitely deserved the crown - beautiful, humble, and she was so friendly from isle to isle, all gal during her stays in Thailand truly enjoyed her company, wackiness, and much her taste of fashion style. She's very eloquent, speaks so clear, she delivered messages both by speaking and look. These are hard elements and no other can do this. Miss Puerto Rico has almost the same aura, take a look how she posed in the camera well trained and very confident, but she fell short in her answer though, she could talk more about humanity, freedom of expressions, rights or equal rights, believe and empowerment. Something she learned from Catriona so rapid by giving a short answer that she though make it short and simple and it will be safe, but her version wasn't that full of substance and not agreeable. Gift is a gift, a brilliant mind speaks naturally, fluid and so precisely.

I think she hid her Australian accent on the stage and preferred to showcase the more understandable Filipino accent. Even in the choice of accent.... So patriotic.

Five reasons why Cat won
1. Strong Adovacy- her work for imparting education for downtrodden is impressive
2. She is a gifted public speaker- very articulate with her ideas and doesnt use a lot of fillers... hers words have a powerful impact on the listeners.
3. Her behind the scenes team- though not obvious to the untrained eyes, credits will have to given to those people who have worked with her closely. Whether it is her lava gown... or her lava walk... she aced it,yes but the mastermind behind it is somebody else. Lets not forget the multiple sessions with Boy who gave her ideas on how she can present her ideas with maximum impact.
4. Her Super Enthusiastic PR team who handled her social media accounts very well. Created a buzz around everything little she did. They have been instrumental in getting her the visibility.
5. Last but not the least, let us not underestimate the love and affection of fillipinos who stood behind her through this journey from BB to Miss Universe. Having a massive fan supports boosts the morale of anybody.
She is a classic example of the fact that if you set your mind on something with good intention and efforts in the right direction, universe is the limit!!

Just couple of months ago when i saw u in Bicol at sa isang munting brgy sinuportahan mo ang maliit na pageant doon pa lang pinahanga mo na ako. Kasi BP Universe titled ka na pero never mong dinedma yung invitation. While watching the show the one obstacle I think of her not winning the title is if she tremble during the Q&A round but she gave a great answer. So I know she is already a winner at that moment.
