'Driver waved down the train..." Hmmm, yes, something thats weights thousands of tonnes gonna stop from 60-80kph in around 100m because it feels like it. Smart move, man. Smart move.
As he was on the tracks, the train driver knew something was wrong and was already starting to break. Yes, it don't make much difference for the truck, of the train goes with 20 mph or 50 mph through it . But it makes MUCH difference for the train driver.
Yeah. Just in case the train driver didn't happen to see a 53' trailer straddling the tracks, but he thought that his 6' body would be a better incentive to stop. Maybe he should have tried waving down the train two miles up the track for a better chance.
Is funny how truck drivers warning people in cars to don't break too close to them because they can't stop on a dime, yet, that truck driver is waving the train to stop when they are 50+ times heavier than a truck. lol
Most of the time they keep their jobs because it either the trailer get stuck on the railroad or road or they don’t have enough space to pull forward but that joke is pretty funny
I know its easy to call them stupid but they are most likely just extremely tired. Most of them dont earn enough on single trips so must take continual long hour journey. Tiredness can really reduce our alertness
Ok I know this comment is jokey (and it is pretty funny lmao) but I just heard about what happened in that clip yesterday. It's from 2013ish in Casselton, North Dakota, USA. Luckily nobody died (and yes, it was bad enough that I have to lead with that), but it was highly destructive. So basically, Train 1 was carrying grain and stuff like that. A car further back derailed, taking several more behind it with it; one of those cars ended up falling on top of the other rail line next to it. The crew were aware that something had happened because the emergency stop had automatically kicked in, but they didn't know the track next to it had become blocked. You can see this in the clip. Train 2, which was carrying a LOT of oil, was chugging along and radioed in when it saw that Train 1 was stopped. Since nobody was aware of the track blockage yet, they were told it'd be fine to keep going. But as they got closer, it also became too late to stop the train in time even if they wanted to. So, that clip happens. Multiple cars are derailed, and the cars full of oil catch fire. The actual radio exchange lasted longer than this edit did, but the end result was the same: The crew on Train 2 got the hell out of there. The resulting explosions were heard/felt for miles. The fireball from it was massive. There was so much smoke that they evacuated the city just to be safe. If you have the time, I'd recommend watching a longer clip with the radio chatter that also has shots of the resulting explosions, because it's frankly almost a miracle none of those crew members died.
He wasn't stuck in any snow, he was just stupid. I see that often enough and they are just afraid to break that little bit of wood which is made to break off in this situation in the first place. I don't get it myself, this happened to me and I just drove through it, and there was lots of snow and that had no effect on the truck at all, and the result was the railroad put the sensors further back so the lights would come n sooner. No way I was going to stop for that damn thing. No damage to the truck either.

Frank 544 Ok, but the guy was just finding anything to make a pun out of, so he did. Everyone knew that it wasn't the drivers fault at all, and they couldn't do anything to make the situation better, so you didn't have to say anything at all.
He still should've looked both ways before crossing, it doesnt just apply to roads it applies to railroads too. I've been driving for only a year and a half and I know this. It just common sense and the irony is that common sense isnt at all common
My Grandad always tells this story about how after church one day the family car broke down on the railroad. Then a train started coming and everyone bolted but then they realized Grandma was still in the car so he and his Dad quickly pushed on the car and got it to the other side safely Not sure how much of that is “embellished” but it’s still a good family story
Actually it is about two miles for a train of 75 fully loaded cars come to a stop. Unfortunately a lot of railroad crossings in America like in the plains just has signs.
Actually, that mile is about half a mile in reality. They slam the emergency brake the second before the train strikes whuch makes longer before it stops
I like how people are trying to wave the conductors down like they can instantly stop right then and there. People fail to understand that train have tons of force driving them forward. Even if the train was going 40 mph, It would still take them about 1 to 2 miles for them to come to a complete stop.
The average freight train is about 1 to 1¼ miles in length (90 to 120 rail cars). When it's moving at 55 miles an hour, it can take a mile or more to stop after the locomotive engineer fully applies the emergency brake. An 8-car passenger train moving at 80 miles an hour needs about a mile to stop.
I've railroaded for 30 plus years. If I have a fully loaded 100 car train moving 55 it will take around that distance to stop. If that train is empty it is going to stop far sooner. It is not length that is the factor here, it is weight. In general in the USA the ration of loaded to empty is not much above 55 - 60%. Now, the average train length when factoring ONLY mainline trains will be in the range you mentioned. Those stats do not factor in locals, road trains, switching jobs, etc. In other words, smaller trains are not counted toward that average. If you do factor in those trains then you are down to an average of 40 or so cars and a far reduced average speed.

Don't you just love how the reporter said that the train just kept on comin when in fact trains cant stop automatically. It takes a train 1 mile before it can come to a complete stop.
Chad M There are special sensors on the rails that detect a short circuit of power in the rails making the crossing arms go down, the rails have power in them and since the wheels and axles are full metal, they make a short circuit of power.
Chad M ummm that's the one thing they teach in drivers education, look and listen before you cross, don't make a difference that those guard rails and lights were down. You can hear and see 👀 a train looooon long before it hits that cross road. It all goes to human stupidity in those folks

2:27 Crossing wasn't activated!
Your absolutely right the fox Grove incident had that exact issue
@@Saucy-ws6jc Yeah because the sight lines are perfect at every crossing eh? So you're telling me if the road is an 70 and you can't see because of bushes or whatever, you're going to come right up to the crossing at a crawl before you go over them? ok.... Sure... I believe that!.
@@Saucy-ws6jc modern rail signals at crossings like this are generally maintained and rarely fail. Even though rail has the row it's still understandable for the trucker.
Nice to see the driver of the train can do the 100metre carriage sprint, to the back of the train in 10 seconds.
“Go right! Beat the train, man!”
911: Whats your emergency?
Driver: WERE EVERYWHERE
0:40 He kind of brought that to himself. He drove into the train's way when it was coming.
At least the cop was 300 feet behind Him
Here’s a longer video of this ruclips.net/video/W8lA3QRZqg0/видео.html
THAT TRUCK DRIVER RAN A VERY BRIGHT CROSSING, WITH THE TRAIN HORN, WITH A COP WITH HIS EMERGENCY LIGHTS ON BEHIND THEM. WHAT THE FUCK?!
ICanHazGaming12345 So buddy, let's think this trough. You have al these fact abd the truck driver still wasn't able to stop... what could have been the reason for that? Do you notice anything special what could have made it difficult to stop?
Daan Demeyer.
Trucks don't have chains on? Laughable........
Also you can see smoke coming out of pipes indicates gas being burning. He's accelerating..... into the path of the train......
That's in my neck of the woods, just down the road from me. It is a very deceptive crossing from that direction. You can turn right at that spot with out getting hit by a train, unless your that driver.
he was drunk and the cop was running his plate, he tried to run thinking the train would block the cop.. it ALMOST worked LMAO
Daan, other than the driver being drunk and trying to flea a cop?
I love your channel bro!
These trucks and cars at the junctions, they not only get recked but also holds the traffic for long time if the train was a goods carrier. I hope none got injured.
2:24 the reason you FedEx package is always late🤣
2:38 I love how it just tried to drive off in 1 piece
The crossing arms never went down before that FedEx truck crossed.
Guy continued anyway
Even though the trains horn was blowing and could easily be heard about a mile away, he proceeded without caution and got what he deserved. Hopefully these retards r not ever allowed to drive again. I don't care if its a dam go cart in a closed course. these ppl should not be allowed to reproduce. such stupid
These trains be like gta trains man.
Tragedy in all of this is that all of these trains have a driver. Looks like train just ploughs on through, but there is a traumatised human right at the front end.
engineers are used to it and most of them dont get fazed. the only traumatized person is the dumb ass who decided to go when the train was passing
0:26 wheels have enabled to fidget spinner mode
🔁
Hmm yes deadly fidget spinner mode
Bruh that train at 0:51 just took the truck with it 😂
Guy in the first video telling the lady to stop screaming so she doesn’t turn it into another video of an accident with a lady shrieking in the back who’s not even involved, thank you sir
truck: stays on track
train: so you have chosen death
Don't you just love how the reporter said that the train just kept on comin when in fact trains cant stop automatically. It takes a train 1 mile before it can come to a complete stop.
Gud job brainlet u showd dem
I love how the trains are like:
"..... TF OUTTA MY WAY!!" 😂
Great rail therapy....I like IT!!!! Big like from Romania
Hehe, *TRAIL* mix :P
BADUM TSS
BlackOps SFM , more like t"rail" mix
More like train mix, now!
Car:gets struck
*Train:starts playing Thomas the train music*
Damn youtube, how do you know i needed this?
2:29 Everyone: Ohhhh! Free packages 📦
Truck driver: Oh poop my packages!
Package theifs: Heck yeah free packages!
3:00 "the train kept on coming," no way, it couldn't stop in the 20 yards the truck driver walked down the tracks? 😂
" Nothing can stop a train, nothing, it's the greatest kinetic energy on earth " Sheldon Cooper ....lol
Nice pfp there bruh
Red blinking lights, rail gates lowering, screaming horns, hum! Gonna chance it, I can't be late. 💥🚂
2:28 “Crap my Toys were being delivered”
The train in the third clip: your coming with me bud
2:27 that one was caused because the gates did not go down... was the power out in the area or did it just fail to go?
Was just going to comment that!
Why No Gates Down?😐🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃
Chad M There are special sensors on the rails that detect a short circuit of power in the rails making the crossing arms go down, the rails have power in them and since the wheels and axles are full metal, they make a short circuit of power.
you should still SEE/HEAR the train. I can hear the horn and it's muffled as all hell but it still there
Chad M ummm that's the one thing they teach in drivers education, look and listen before you cross, don't make a difference that those guard rails and lights were down. You can hear and see 👀 a train looooon long before it hits that cross road. It all goes to human stupidity in those folks
0:25 the northlock and southern was like: DONT YOU DARE BEND THE BEAMS BOI
Also do the truck drivers hear the trains and go like: fuck u
Me watching the train crash the fedX truck: maybe that's what happened to my package
