Awesome video, showing us the strength and functional combination between old school USSR-era rolling stock and brand new regional commuter trains !
About the Russian diesel locomotives, I think it's interesting to say that the 751 series diesel locomotives (among others) were built during the Iron Curtain era, by Skoda (and several others firms), in a typical Soviet style, yeah, at that time the locos had the Red Star for front plates with their numbers (that's why they always looked Russian, or similar to Russian, Belorussian, Ukrainian, Kazakh Railways locomotives) ...
But these locos were built and adapted for Standard European Gauge (1435 mm) instead of Russian Gauge (1520 mm). And that's the same way for several Electric locomotives which are always operational in Eastern Europe, also for other kinds of rolling stock (wagons, coaches, ...)
To find these trains in model railroading, one way : go TT scale ^^
